It operates with a BBU to cover new outdoor sites. The ZXSDR R8978 S2600M works with a BBU to compose a complete eNodeB and implement the functions such as radio transmission in the coverage area and radio channel control. Figure 1 illustrates the position of the ZXSDR R8978 S2600M in a LTE network.
