Please note that the manual might be changed without prior notice. 2 / 30   1、Basic operations  1.1 Unlock the home screen  Slide to unlock and enter the home screen( Figure 1.1)               Tap the padlock icon and move it rightward to overlap with the unlocked icon.(Fig 1.2/Fig 1.3) Figure1.1 Figure 1.2 3 / 30 1.2 Home Screen  Once unlocked, the home screen appears, there are five pages to be shown, swipe your finger left and right to switch among the pages. In every page there are screens with 3D effects.(Fig 1.4) 1.3 Main buttons  1.3.1 Main function buttons Return —Tap this button to return to a higher directory. Home—Tap this button to return to the home screen Background programs —Tap to view the programs running in the background Volume- - Tap this to decrease volume Volume+ -- Tap this to increase volume Menu button —This button usually appears on lower left and sometimes on lower right. The exact location depends upon the programs but works to the same effect. Likewise, if the program does not include a menu it will definitely not appear on the screen.  Notification tray—On the upper left of the screen, tap to pop up the application list. Search button: On the upper left of the home screen, tap to bring out Google search box. Input method —this will appear automatically whenever input is required, tap to show all the installed input method and choose the one you prefer.  Figure 1.3 Fig 1.4 4 / 30 1.3.2 Notification bar From right to left: Battery indicator(display battery charged level, while charging, a lightening symbol will appear), 3G symbol, WIFI symbol(while connecting via WIFI), time indicator and other notifying symbols(hide or unhide depending on the programs you run). Tap the notification area, a hidden menu will pop up (Fig 1.5) Tap time digits will bring out the setup shortcut(Fig 1.6): : Tap away to close the pop-up menu.     Fig 1.6 Fig 1.5 5 / 30 1.4 Application and widget screen 1.4.1 Enter application screen Tap Application to enter the application list. The application list displays all the applications installed in this MID. Tap any app icon to start the program. Let ’s say you want to open the files in the local disk, tap “ES file browser” to enter. To play video clips or view photos, tap Gallery(Fig 1.7). When the number of app icons exceed a single screen , the rest will be displayed on the next screen, swipe your finger leftward to switch to the next screen. 1.4.2 Enter widget screen In application screen, tap or swipe your finger to enter the widget screen. Long press on any widget can create shortcut on the desktop, and tap any shortcut to enter the corresponding application(Fig 1.8). Fig 1.7 Fig 1.8 6 / 30 1.5 Create and manage shortcuts  1.5.1 Create app shortcut  In application and widget screen, long press an icon and hold it till the desktop screen appears, and drag to anywhere on the desktop screen and drop it(Fig 1.9). 1.5.2 Create app shortcut  It is easy to create new folders, simply tap and drag the icon to overlap with another icon to form a folder (Fig 1.10)                  Fig 1.9 Fig 1.10 7 / 30 To open the folder, simply tap the folder to expand and show all the app icons(Fig 1.11)                        Tap the place shown “Unnamed folder” to bring out the keyboard, then you can rename it(Fig 1.12) Long press to move the icons (Fig 1.13) Fig 1.11 Fig 1.12 Fig 1.13 8 / 30 1.6 Delete app shortcut on the screen Longpresstheiconthatyouwanttodelete,anXsymbolwillappearonthetopof screen(Fig 1.14)                          Drag the said icon above the X symbol until the icon turns red and release it (Fig 1.15). 1.7 Change wallpaper Fig 1.14 Fig 1.15 9 / 30 There are at least two ways to set the wallpaper 1、A long press on the screen to bring up the menu(Fig 1.16) Tap Wallpaper to choose the wallpaper from the wallpapers list. Tap live wallpaper to choose the live wallpaper from the live wallpapers list. Tap gallery to choose the image from the gallery list. 2. Enter setup—Display—Choose Wallpaper (Fig 1.17) Fig 1.16 Fig 1.17 10 / 30    1.8 Connecting to PC  Using the USB cable to connect this MID to a PC. You can copy files like music, video clips, ebooks, apps etc. Once connected to the PC, the following interface will appear. (Fig 1.18)           Tap the lower right button “Open USB storage device”, you can see two disks, usually the first disk is the local disk, the second is the removable disk, you must insert TF card to open it. When connected to a PC, only the home screen is displayed. Tap USB icon, and tap Developer ’s options to enables USB debugging. Android robot will appear in this case. (Fig 1.19) Fig 1.18 Fig 1.19 11 / 30 Tap Notification bar to pop up the following panel (Fig 1.20), then tap "USB connected" option.  Tap to enter the ES file browser, you can see the files copied from the PC Besides, When TF card is inserted or external USB stick is connected to this tablet via USB hosts, you also view files via “ES File Browser” 2、Settings   The Settings is quite similar to Settings in cell phone or is equivalent to the control panel in Windows system. You can customize the settings according to your personal preference. Tap the notification bar on the lower right of the home screen or the settings icon on the application list to enter the Settings screen.(Fig 2.1) 2.1 Wireless & network Fig 1.20 Fig 2.1 12 / 30 2.1.1 Wi-Fi 1. Turn WIFI on or off: Drag the Wi-Fi switch leftward or rightward to switch on or off the WIFI. While WIFI is on, the WIFI hotspots will be shown (Fig 2.2).
