Cambium Networks Ltd Unit B2, Linhay Business Park Eastern Road Ashburton Devon UK TQ13 7UP 29 th April 2015 Telecommunication Certification Body UL VS Ltd Offices 18-26 Grove House Lutyens Close Chineham Court Basingstoke Hampshire RG24 8AG United Kingdom To whom it may concern, Subject – Attestation of software used in Part 15C and Part 90Y SDR Grant submission for FCC ID: QWP- 50450I. Cambium Networks confirm that: - During certification test the PMP 450I / PTP 450I uses internal development software which is identified as Bxxx-PXP455-PRODTEST, where xxx is a unique reference number, this development software is the building block for the final released software as any new developments such as support for additional frequency bands or changes which are seen to be beneficial are carried forward into the next software version. On completion of certification test and internal System Integration Test the collated internal development software is released to customers with a customer facing traceable identification reference “Canopy X.Y”, where X is the Major version number and Y is the Minor version number, e.g. “Canopy 14.0” would be the first release of a major software version and “Canopy 14.1” would be a minor modification to the major software release. Note: the decision to increment the “major” version is determined by marketing considerations, and does not indicate the need for a permissive Class change. Software Version used for Part 15.247 test: - • B135-PXP455-PRODTEST-2015FEB27 Software Version which was updated to include support for the 4.9GHz frequency band used for Part 90Y test: - • B144-PXP455-PRODTEST-2015MAR13 We further state that software version B144 is a progression from version B135 and does not affect the performance of the product as tested to Part 15.247. The Distribution and Security Documentation to support this submission is the same for both Part 15.247 and Part 90Y. Yours sincerely Donald W Reid CEng MIET, MInstLM Principal Regulatory Engineer

Cambium Networks Ltd Unit B2, Linhay Business Park Eastern Road Ashburton Devon UK TQ13 7UP 2 nd April 2015 Telecommunication Certification Body UL VS Ltd Offices 18-26 Grove House Lutyens Close Chineham Court Basingstoke Hampshire RG24 8AG United Kingdom Subject - Professional Installation Requirement for PMP 450i / PTP 450i products FCC ID: QWP-50450i I have provided below the justification for considering the PMP 450i / PTP 450i products as requiring professional installation, and therefore the use of standard antenna connectors is acceptable under FCC Regulations. Background The PMP/PTP 450i product range is available in two versions; the most common is fitted with integral antennas suitable for the vast majority of deployments. In addition, Cambium Networks markets a ‘connectorized’ unit without an integral antenna, where the installer fits an external antenna chosen from the list of antenna types and gains approved by the FCC for use with the product. These products are intended for more demanding radio links where higher gain antennas are needed to optimise the link performance. The external antennas allowed are all physically larger than the integral version and require their own mounting hardware. • Justification • Marketing The PMP 450i / PTP 450i product range is sold exclusively via a network of distributors chosen by and under contract to Cambium Networks Solutions. The distributors sell the product only to Value Added Resellers (VARs) who would perform the installation process. Cambium Networks does not sell the products through any retail chain to the general public, nor does it offer the product for sale by mail order. In the event that the radio link under consideration did require the use of external higher gain antennas, the VAR would procure these antennas from the distributor. The list of antenna types and gains acceptable to the FCC is contained in the product User Manual. • Requiring Professional Installation Cambium Networks states in the User Manual that only suitably qualified people should undertake the installation of the products. As detailed above the product is only sold to Distributors/VAR chains who would hire professional installers. This would be essential for the connectorised version which would only be used for more demanding radio links and where a professional and detailed radio survey is essential to ensure that the system will operate as required. • Application The PMP 450i / PTP 450i products are not intended for installation by the general public; typical examples of use would be to provide WLAN access to multiple remote sites or inter-site linking of company computer networks by point to point radio. Yours sincerely Donald W Reid CEng MIET, MInstLM Principal Regulatory Engineer

The power level of the PMP 450i / PTP 450i radio is guaranteed by design and calibration during manufacture. Calibration of every power detector is performed in the factory. The calibration process is repeated for a number of frequencies across the 4.900 to 5.925 GHz operating band. All individual values measured during the calibration process are written into each unit during manufacturing and is accessed by the PMP 450i / PTP 450i transmit power control module during operation. For transmit combined power of 5dBm and above, the actual combined transmit power is within +/- 1 dB of the set transmit power. For transmit combined power below 5dBm, the actual combined transmit power is within + 0 /- 3 dB of the set transmit power. Factory calibrated power settings by frequency band are given in Annex A Yours sincerely Donald W Reid CEng MIET, MInstLM Principal Regulatory Engineer Annex A: Factory Calibrated Powers Frequency Band Power Setting Tolerance Maximum Calibrated Power 4940 - 4990 < 5dB + 0 /- 3 dB 4.75 dBm >=5dB +/- 1 dB 24.0 dBm 5725 - 5850 < 5dB + 0 /- 3 dB 4.75 dBm >=5dB +/- 1 dB 27.0 dBm

Output power is conducted. This device supports MIMO operations as described in this filing. The device supports 5MHz, 10MHz, 20MHz, and 40MHz bandwidths. Professional installation is required for devices with external antenna connectors. To comply with RF exposure requirements antennas must be installed to ensure a minimum separation distance of 4.74m from persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter except in accordance with accepted multi-transmitter product procedures.
