User Manual This module is limited to OEM Installation only. Welcome! This manual brief is the profile of your modem, it is a removable device for wireless internet access and data service. 1. Safety and Use We recommend that you read this chapter carefully before using the modem. The manufacturer disclaims any liability for damage, which may result as a consequence of improper use of the modem or of use contrary to the instructions contained herein. Traffic Safety When driving, do not use the modem When switched on, the modem emits electromagnetic waves that can interfere with the vehicle’s electronic systems such as ABS anti‐lock brakes or airbags. To ensure that there is no problem, do not place Insert SIM card Into modem Power off your Tablet Plug the modem into your Tablet Power on your Tablet your tablet with the modem on top of the dashboard or within an airbag deployment area. Check with your car dealer or the car manufacturer to make sure that the dashboard is adequately shielded from modem RF energy. Conditions of Use Switch the modem off before boarding an aircraft. Switch the modem off when you are in health care facilities, except in designated areas. As with many other types of equipment now in regular use, the modem can interfere with other electrical or electronic devices, or equipment‐using radio frequencies. Switch the modem off when you are near gas or flammable liquids. Strictly obey all signs and instructions posted in a fuel depot, petrol station, chemical plant, or in any potentially explosive atmosphere. When the modem is switched on, it should be kept at least 15 cm from any medical device such as a pacemaker, a hearing aid or insulin pump, etc. Do not let children use the modem without supervision. When replacing the cover, please note that the modem may contain substances that could create an allergic reaction. Always handle the modem with care and keep it in a clean and dust‐free place. Do not allow the modem to be exposed to adverse weather or environmental conditions (moisture, humidity, rain, infiltration of liquids, dust, sea air, etc). The manufacturer’s recommended operating temperature range is ‐10°C to +50°C. Do not open, dismantle or attempt to repair the modem yourself. Do not drop, throw or bend the modem. Do not paint it. 5. Host Information Host manufacturer is: TCT Mobile Limited Host Brand name is: ALCATEL; Host model number is: One Touch T70. WEEE Approval The modem is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE Directive). They will then be recycled, preventing substances being disposed of in the environment, so that their components can be reused. In European Union countries: This symbol on device means that these products must be taken to collection points at the end of their life: ‐ Municipal waste disposal centres with specific bins for these items of equipment ‐ Collection bins at points of sale. These collection points are accessible free of charge. All products with this sign must be brought to these collection points. In non European Union jurisdictions: Items of equipment with this symbol are not to be thrown into ordinary bins if your jurisdiction or your region has suitable recycling and collection facilities; instead they are to be taken to collection points for them to be recycled. RoHs Approval The modem is in compliance with the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHs Directive). Certification Federal Communications Commission Notice (United States): The end product with an embedded M70 Module may also need to pass the FCC Part 15 unintentional emission testing requirements and be properly authorized per FCC Part 15. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications made to this equipment not expressly approved by TCL may void the FCC authorization to operate this equipment. Please be noticed following information and instructions should be placed in the end‐user’s operating manual The M70 Module has been granted as limited modular approval , which was designed to be fixed to specified host only in this manual. 1. Separate approval is required for all other operating configurations, including portable configurations with respect to 2.1093 and different antenna configurations. 2. A label must be affixed to the outside of the end product into which the M70 module is incorporated, with a statement similar to the following: This device contains FCC ID: RAD312. 3. This module is to be installed only in specified host as specified in this manual only. The host with this LMA module has been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported for properly worn on the body is 1.176W/kg. This device was tested for typical body‐worn operations with the back of the host which is 5mm distance with the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that it was tested directly with the user's body and the back of the host. The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided. 4.
