If usingiPod mini, you must replace the mounting clip with the iPod mini mounting clip.To attach sizing pads:1. If applicable, peel the paper from the appropriate sizing pad pair and adhere each of the two pads onto one ofthe circles on the back plate of myTune FM. To replace the mounting clip:1. If using iPod mini, remove the attached arms by gently pushing one arm toward the back of myTune FM. Snapthe myTune FM mini mounting clip into its place. Mounting myTune FMmyTune FM snaps onto the air vents in your car. To accommodate different airvent orientations, the mounting clip on the back of myTune FM swivels to ahorizontal or vertical position. You can leave myTune FM mounted in your car, anddock iPod in myTune FM when you’re ready to listen to your tunes on the radio. 4 SizingPads revised_UG_4x4 _r1 5/16/05 5:03 PM Page 4 To mount myTune FM on your air vent:1. If your air vents have horizontal flaps, simply attach the mounting clip to the vent flap. If your air ventshave vertical flaps, twist the mounting clip to thevertical position, and attach the mounting clip to thevent flap. 2. With one end plugged into myTune FM, insert the power adapter into the 12V power outlet (lighteradapter) in your car. The blue light on the poweradapter will turn on to indicate that the adapter isplugged in. To dock iPod into myTune FM:1. Slide iPod down the face of myTune FM as shown until the iPod dock connector is firmly inserted into the 30-pin myTune FMconnecter. The arms will holdiPod in place. The iPod miniwill slide between the frontmostbrackets on the mini clip. 2. To remove iPod, gently slide iPod up the face of myTune FM. 5 USER GUIDE revised_UG_4x4 _r1 5/16/05 5:03 PM Page 5 Playing iPod Music on an FM RadioTo play your iPod music on your car radio, you must first select the channel onmyTune FM, and then select the same channel on your FM radio. The sevenpre-set channels available on myTune FM are CH1, CH2, 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7,and 88.9. CH1 and CH2 are market-dependent channels. A green light indicates that the channel selected is on the toprow, while an amber light indicates the selected channel ison the bottom row. The last channel in the bottom row is not used. To play iPod music on your FMradio:When myT une FM is turned on, the channel will be set to CH1, the default FM channel.1. With myTune FM mounted in your car and your car powered on, turn on your FM radio and select on your dial. 2. Switch the power button on the bottom of myPower FM to ON.3. Operational Description for IA1000 General Characters: 1. I/P Voltage: + 12-24 Vdc at Pin 1 of 1394 2. Transmitter frequency: 88.1M 88.3M 88.5M 88.7M 88.9M 3. Current consumption: 60±10mA 4. Frequency response: 50HZ-15KHZ 5. Transmit distance: 2-3 m Operations: Energized i-pod 1394 connector from 12Vdc, and push the channel selector to control the pin 15, 15 & 17 of BH1417, then change the transmitter frequency CH1, CH2, 88.1M. 88.3M. 88.5M. 88.7M. 88.9M (CH1 and CH2 are reserved, no any function now), at the meantime, a sound signal input the pin 1 & 22 of BH1417 and to be amplified, then a stereo output from pin 5 to pin 9 of BH1417, finally, a RF signal output to antenna of outside building.
