The sensor uses the operating frequency as power supply. The crystal oscillator in the sensor is stimulated by an AM frequency on the RF carrier. This oscillator is tuned by the temperature and the resulting frequency modulates the reflecting carrier with the temperature information. The EUT reads the frequency deviation and displays the resulting temperature. The firmware allows the user to switch the transmission on or off. The transmit stimulus power is set to P23 by firmware.
