#712717 Wireless Night Light Instructions for Application, Use and Care Wireless Night Light System Overview The AliMed Wireless Night Light automatically lights a path for patients who get up in the night and trigger their existing sensor pad or alarm. The Wireless Night Light illuminates low-light areas with 4 LED lights when activated. The activation can be triggered by the patient rising from bed and activates the alarm signal to be sent to the Wireless Night Light, or when the built-in infrared sensor (PIR) of the Wireless Night light detects movement in low light condition. Use The Wireless Night Light is used in conjunction with the AliMed Wireless Transmitter. The AliMed Wireless Transmitter connects to any sensor alarm (e.g AliMed TR2 Sensor Alarm) utilizing the ¼” nurse call jack. The Wireless Night Light will automatically turn on when a corresponding patient alarm is activated or when the passive infrared sensor (PIR) detects movement. The Wireless Night Light can detect signals up to 30 feet from the Wireless Transmitter within a room, or 20 feet from the Wireless Transmitter through walls, or detect motion from up to 12 feet away. The Night Light can be set to remain illuminated for either 1 or 3 minutes after each activation, unless reset by the caregiver. To turn the Night Light off, locate the OFF/1 min/3 min switch in the battery compartment and switch it to the OFF position. An AC adapter is included with the AliMed Wireless Night Light and is strongly recommended for use. Set Up & Choosing Light Duration 1. Installing the Batteries: (Insert picture of battery compartment here) 1. Loosen the single screw at the base of the Wireless Night Light and remove the rear cover. 2. Install three (3) alkaline AA cell batteries (not included) as shown in this photo. 3. Turn the Wireless Night Light on and set the switch to choose the illumination time to 1 minute or 3 minute. 4. Replace rear cover and tighten the screw. 2. Mounting: (Insert Picture of wall mounting here) The Wireless Night Light unit can be mounted in various ways depending on the environment and usage. Three modes of mounting are included in the original package 1. Magnetic mounting to metal surfaces. 2. Wall mounting using included bracket and screws. 3. Double-sided tape for mounting the night light to any smooth surface. Pairing with Wireless Transmitter 1. Set Up and Pair (show picture) In order for the Wireless Night Light to work in conjunction with a patient alarm, the AliMed Wireless Transmitter and Wireless Night Light need to be paired. 1. To start, you must first turn the device on by moving the switch located in the battery compartment from the OFF position to either the 1-minute or 3- minute position. 2. The unit takes ~45 seconds to warm-up or “boot-up” during which time it will show a solid red indicator light. 3. When the unit is ready, a flashing green light will appear and flashes 1 time every 5 seconds. 4. To pair, press and release the SYNC button on both the Wireless Transmitter and the Wireless Night Light at the same time (see photo for locations). The indicator light on both devices will flash green 3 times to confirm successful pairing. Then the Wireless Night Light enters “Normal” operating mode and the indicator light will flash green once every 5 seconds. 5. Each Wireless Transmitter may pair with up to 4 External Wireless alarms or Wireless Night Lights. 6. This process should take less than one minute to complete per unit. 7. The indicator light on each device will flash RED 3 times if pairing is not successful within 5 seconds after the SYNC buttons are pressed. Go back to #4 and start the pairing process again. Low Battery – When the batteries of Wireless Night Light are low, an audible alarm will sound, and a red alert light will flash once every 5 seconds for 3 minutes. The Wireless Night Light will resume “Normal” operation for 5 activations triggered by wireless signals or movement. During this time, the indicator light will continue to flash red once every 5 seconds when not activated. After 5 activations, the Wireless Night Light will stop operation and the indicator light will show solid red until batteries die or new batteries are replaced. If power adapter is connected or batteries are replaced when the indicator light flashes red and the Wireless Night Light detects power, it will resume “Normal” operation and the indicator light will resume flashing green once every 5 seconds. If power adapter is connected or batteries are replaced when the indicator light is in solid red, or when batteries completely die, it is recommended to switch off the Wireless Night Light first and switch on again to reset. The Wireless Night Light will start again and takes ~45 seconds to warm-up or “boot-up”. During which time it will show a solid red indicator light. Re-do pairing with the Wireless Transmitter is not necessary as previous pairing stays in memory unless power failure lasts for a prolonged period of time. If so, go back to #4 and start the pairing process again. Limited 6 Month Warranty Manufacturer guarantees the Wireless Night Light for 6 months from date of purchase.
