USER INSTRUCTIONS KEYZONE REMOTE This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept all interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could the void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. RSI11-09-00622 (REV. 02) PAGE 1 OF 3 LOGIN/AUTHENTICATION KEY In the KeyZone Client Application, you must first log into the system with your name and password. Once you log in, an authentication key is sent to the Remote by the Gateway Server. The first time you press the button on the remote after logging in, both the green and red light will illuminate on the remote. Press the button on the remote again and the green light should illuminate. The green light indicates that the Gateway server has successfully assigned an authentication key to the Remote. If the red light illuminates instead, try moving the Remote to a location with a clearer line of sight to the Gateway Server and pressing the button again. If you continue to get the red light, then this indicates that the authentication key was not successfully assigned to the Remote. See Figure 1. Figure 1: Remote Lights Remote with a valid key Remote without a valid key OPENING A VAULT To use the Remote to open a KeyZone Vault, first position the Remote 1 inch or less from the Vault just beneath the rightmost light (see Figure 2). (Note: the Remote may not be able to access the Vault when the Remote and Vault are more than 1 inch apart). Press the button on the Remote and wait for one of the lights on the Vault to illuminate. If the green light on the Vault illuminates, then you have successfully accessed the Vault. You can then push upwards on the bottom of the Vault to release the car key drawer. If the red light on the Vault illuminates, then the Remote was unable to gain access to the Vault. This could indicate a problem with the Remote’s authentication key. Each Remote contains a unique ID and is assigned to dealership personnel that need Vault access. The Remote has two indicator lights and one pushbutton switch. There are three mounting clip options that can be interchanged by the user to meet their individual carrying preferences. The clips provide the ability of the Remote to be clipped onto a person’s belt, connected to a keychain, or strung on a lanyard. The Remote’s battery is replaceable by the user. The Remote contains a Bluetooth Radio and a short-range radio (125KHz Radio). To activate a Remote for a day’s usage, the user enters their username and password into the application on a PC that communicates to the Controller via a WiFi. Once the user has logged into the system, the next press of the button will enable the Remote to communicate to the Controller to get its new authentication key. The Remote checks to see if the authentication key is up to date and will go up for a new key when the old key has expired each time the button is pressed. Otherwise the only communication is via the 125 KHz radio to the Vault RSI 290. The Remote’s LEDs illuminate based on success or failure. The Remote’s Green LED illuminates if the Remote successfully authenticates with a vault and if the Remote successfully downloads its authentication keys from the Controller. The Remote’s Red LED will illuminate upon failure of these communications. The Remote’s LEDs will now illuminate unless communications occur to conserve battery. Remote battery status will be stored in the database in a future release. The Remote Master is a Remote that has been programmed with a longer-term authentication that will enable the user to open the vault without daily verification of a logon. The purpose of this key is to enable access to the vaults in case of a system failure. The vault will still capture and log the event use of the master remote for reports

Test Report

REH Consulting, Inc. September 7, 2006 TerHop RSI-11 Series Antenna Plots An Agilent 8714ES Network Analyzer was used in S21 mode, with the product test antenna (test) connected to port 1, and a broadband log-periodic antenna (source), spaced 1m away, connected to port 2. A reference dipole, well matched at 2,450 MHz, was initially mounted in place of the test antenna to calibrate the path setup prior to measurement. The antenna was evaluated in three planes of rotation. Figure 1 illustrates the orientation of each plane.
