If you prefer to use software other than the included Audacitysoftware; there are a variety of software packages available.Audacity is free software, distributed under the General Public License(GPL). More information, as well as open source code, can be found on theincluded CD or on the web at http://audacity.sourceforge.net.Audacity works on both Windows (98 and greater) as well as Mac OS (X and 9.2+).For more information, visit http://audacity.sourceforge.netFor help and tutorials, visit http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/tutorials 2 Troubleshooting No Sound?• If you can’t get any sound to play through the software, you need to make sure you have selected the USB input for the recording device. This settingis found under preferences. • If you can see the music play on the screen but can’t hear it, make sure the Playback Device is set to the internal soundcard. • If you can’t hear any sound as the record is playing, click on the microphone and select Monitor Input. Poor Sound Quality?• If your recording sound is distorted or unclear, try adjusting the Input Level to a lower level. • Inspect the needle to make sure it is correctly positioned on the tone arm. 21 Set Up for Vista 1. Make sure your open programs on your computerare closed beforecontinuing. 2. On the button left of your screen, select the STARTmenu. 3. Select SETTINGS4. Select CONTROL PANEL.5. Once the window appears double-click the SOUNDcontrol pane. (If theSOUND option is notavailable, choose ‘Switchto Classic View’ located onthe left panel of thewindow). 6. Select the RECORDING tab located at the top of theSound Control Panel. 7. Choose Microphone - USB Audio CODEC as the default recording device.(USB Audio CODEC represents the turntable.) 8. Select the SET DEFAULT button to confirm selections. 4 Dividing Recordings Into Tracks Manually Splitting Your RecordingInto Tracks: 1. Select the SKIP TO START button.2. This will ensure the beginning of the recording will be the actual starting location. 3. Select PROJECT.4. Select ADD LABEL AT SELECTION.5. This will set the first track to its starting point. 6. Type in the name of the first track.7. To separate the tracks, click one time on the line between the cluster (clustersrepresent audio). 8. A line will appear where the selection was clicked.9. Repeat steps 4-7 until all tracks have been labeled and clicked for separation. NOTE: Any track name that is circled can be added or edited.- Zooming in to select the track/tracks separation may be necessary - The space bar will allow you to start and stop playback of the tracks before adding a label. - Track names can be edited once they have been exported from Audacity. - Make sure to SAVE your file regularly. 19 Set Up for XP 1. Make sure your open programs on your computerare closed before continuing. 2. Open the START menu located at the bottom left ofthe screen. 3. Select SETTINGS.4. Select CONTROL PANEL.5. Once the window appears, double-click the SOUNDSand AUDIO DEVICESoption. (If the Sound and Audio Device is not available, choose the‘switch to Classic View’option on the left panel ofthe window). 6. Select the VOICE tab located at the top of theSounds and Audio Devicescontrol panel. 7. Under VOICE PLAYBACK, choose the internal soundcard as the default device. USB Audio CODEC (USB turntable). Modem, or Microsoft Sound Mapper should not be selected. 8. Under VOICE RECORDING, select USB Audio CODEC as the default device. 6 Dividing Recordings Into Tracks Before dividing your newly recorded album into separate tracks, all editing(cleaning, audio removal, etc.) needs to be complete. 1. Select FIT PROJECT IN WINDOW icon (magnifying glass with horizontal linebelow it.)- This will magnify the view so all tracks can be seen. The separation breaks willappear as skinny lines between the clusters(clusters represent audio). Splitting tracks can be done automatically or manually. Automatically is rec-ommended if the record is in good condition and there is a distinct silencebreak between the songs. Another option would be to manually separate. This is recommended if the record is in poor condition or does not have dis-tinct silence breaks between the songs. Automatically Splitting Your Recording Into Tracks 1. Select EDIT. 2. Select SELECT ALL.3. Select ANALYZE located on the menu bar at the top. 4. Select SILENCE FINDER. NOTE: Silence Finder will attempt to detect the silence breaks between the songs. 5. Type 15 into the SILENCE LEVEL (in Silence Finder table). 6. Select OKThis will begin the analyzing process. 17 Audacity Set Up for PC 1. Select START at the bottom left side of the screen.2. Select ALL PROGRAMS.3. Select AUDACITY.4. Select EDIT from the toolbar.5. Select PREFERENCES.6. Once the AUDACITY PREFERENCES window appears, select the AUDIO I/O tab. 7. Under PLAYBACK DEVICE, select the internal sound card. USB Audio CODEC (USB turntable), Microsoft Sound Mapper or Modem should not be selected. 8. Under RECORDING DEVICE, Select USB AUDIO CODEC. NOTE: The USB turntable may show up with a different name in the Preferences window. This may depend on your computer model and operating system. 99% of the time it will contain “USB” in the name. 9. Under RECORDING - CHANNELS, select 2 (Stereo). 10. Check the SOFTWARE PLAYTHROUGH box before exiting. 8 Adjusting Audio Levels 1. Select EDIT.2. Select SELECT.3. Select ALL.4. Select EFFECT to choose the desired effect. 5. Select NORMALIZE to have the correct volumeon the recording. NOTE: It is recommendedto place the needle on therecord while it is stopped,before you begin therecording, and start theturntable after you beginrecording. Operational Description

Operational description for TX and Rx In transmit mode the unit is switched so that it is connected to the input of audio signal of phono amplifier IC101. The output signal of transmitter with Jw201 TX, which modulates the crystal controlled oscillator. This oscillation is transmitter. The antenna is transformer coupled to the oscillation. In receiver Rx201 RX are the RF amplifier and detector audio signal. The Rx201module of become audio amplifiers of the receivere audio to drive transformer Rx201 witch is coupled to the speaker.
