The Armour39™ chest strap collects athletes’ information and transfers it to the Armour39™ module in the strap. The module automatically transmits this information in real-time to a Bluetooth® Smart display device, the Armour39™ mobile app or the Armour39™ watch. The Armour39™ module is the first sensor designed to store information, allowing athletes to work out with or without the display device. 8 WHAT DOES ARMOUR39™ MEASURE? With Armour39™, athletes of all sports can measure, track, and analyze the data that matters most. Armour39™ measures heart rate, calorie burn, real-time intensity and WILLpower™, Under Armour®’s unique measure that reflects overall workout difficulty in a single score. HEART RATE A highly responsive, precise measurement of heart beats per minute. CALORIES An advanced algorithm that captures calories burned with a high degree of accuracy. This real-time measurement captures how hard an athlete is working by measuring current heart rate as a percentage of the athlete’s max heart rate. It’s proof of how hard you’re working relative to your peak ability. INTENSITY WILLPOWER™ The true measure of an athlete, it is a single score that reflects overall workout 9 IMPORTANT: Armour39™ is optimized by successful completion of the Armour39™ Assessment workout. The Assessment captures an athlete’s baseline data and informs all other Armour39™ measures, customizing the system specifically to the athlete. A user should perform the Assessment regularly, about once a month, to ensure the system takes into account an athlete’s current fitness level. difficulty on a scale of 0.0-10.0. You have used the name CSA Group Bayern GmbH on the letters and documents but I notice the IC website still lists Mikes Testing Partners as the company with number 3009A. Please remember to login to the IC website and change your details. For now, please provide a cover letter to confirm that CSA Group Bayern GmbH is the same company as Mikes Testing Partners GmbH. Mikes: Thank you for this information. After we have finished the current open IC certifications (bf1systems) with mikes test reports, we will change our details on the IC website. I know this is not great news for you but unfortunately these two transmitters need to appear on different FCC Grants. By testing to 15.249, we can see that one of them is below 1 GHz and therefore “Scope A1”; whilst the other one is above 1 GHz and “Scope A2”. Also, the transmitter below 1 GHz will be Equipment Class DXT but the transmitter above 1 GHz will be Equipment Class DXX. The only way to avoid this situation is to test to 15.247 and call them both “Scope A4” with Equipment Class DSS. (It’s probably too late for that suggestion!) Mikes: Two FCC Grants are okay. Please see two separate Forms 731. 3. The operation description rates the output power for both transmitters as 0 dBm. Theoretically, we would expect a 0 dBm transmitter to have an approximate field strength at 3m of about 95 dBuV/m (or even more). This transmitter measures 75 dBuV/m and 77 dBuV/m peak. Please confirm that it was transmitting at maximum power and that the manufacturer is happy with those power levels. Mikes: We confirm, it was transmitting at maximum power and that the manufacturer is happy with those power levels. 4. For our records, please clarify the relationship between BlueRobin and Under Armour Inc. The documentation shows that Under Armour is responsible for the product and the manufacturer is IDT Technology Ltd. However, technical documentation (Block Diagram of the whole device) is from BlueRobin. Mikes: BlueRobin is only the name of the proprietary protocol using for transmission in the 915 MHz band. The devices were developed by BM innovations GmbH in order of Under Armour, technical documents were also issued by BM innovations GmbH in order of Under Armour. Page 2 of 2 5. For your information: I can see that the device passes from the emissions plots and bandwidth measurements but please remember that band edge measurements should always be included in a test report; either as spurious emissions data or a separate test. The setup of the EUT and the measurement procedure is in accordance to ANSI C63.4, Item 8.3. In the frequency range above 1 GHz a spectrum analyser is used with appropriate linear polarized antennas. If the emission level in peak mode complies with the average limit testing is stopped and peak values will be reported, otherwise, the emission is measured in average mode again and reported. The EUT is measured in TX continuous mode unmodulated under normal conditions. The setup of the EUT and the measurement procedure is in accordance to ANSI C63.4, Item 8.3. In the frequency range above 1 GHz a spectrum analyser is used with appropriate linear polarized antennas. If the emission level in peak mode complies with the average limit testing is stopped and peak values will be reported, otherwise, the emission is measured in average mode again and reported. The EUT is measured in TX continuous mode unmodulated under normal conditions.
