Remote Control Page 4 of 9 Driver Installation / Removing ¾ System requirements Symbian Series 60, NOKIA N91. At least 100 KB free memory on your N91. A computer with the Microsoft Windows 2000/XP operating system. PC Suite (available on one of the CDs delivered with your phone). ¾ Before to use Check the batteries status of Remote Control. (Open the switch to check the blue light on the Remote.) Disable other devices’ application using Bluetooth. ¾ How to Install / Upgrade/Remove the Bluetooth Remote Control Driver? Installation For Symbian Series 60 OS, the Remote Control driver can be installed by AutoRun CD-ROM, PC Suite, Cable or Wireless file transfer ( Infrared or Bluetooth ). Please find the details as below information. (When the N91 receives the file, it will show message with file “Remote.sis”, click “ View”. You will be warned that “Application is untrusted and may have problems. Install only if you trust provider.” Click “Yes”, then click “Install”. ) Install the Application in N91 by AutoRun CD-ROM 1 Establish the connection between your computer and your N91. 2 Insert Bluetooth Remote Control CD into computer’s CD-Rom drive. 3 Follow the instruction on screen to complete the installation. When the installation is finished, you can find this Remote control icon is showed on the “My Own” page of the N91. (Figure 1) Remote Control Page 5 of 9 Install the Application in N91 by Infrared or Bluetooth file Transfer 1 Disable applications or drivers in the N91, which may use Infrared or Bluetooth ports. 2 Path: CD-Rom driver » Files » Symbian » Series60 » Language. Tag the file “Remote.sis” on your computer or CD-ROM. 3 Follow the instructions for the Infrared or Bluetooth software on your computer to locate the N91 and transfer the file to it. After the driver is installed successfully, the Remote driver icon will show up in the “My Own” page. (Figure 1) Figure 1 Upgrading Please check the Agent’s website from time to time to check if any new driver is released. ( If you want to install the latest driver, please uninstall the previous driver first. ) Removing Step 1: Turn the driver off. Step 2: Select Tools -> Application Manager -> Remote -> Remove. (Figure 2) Figure 2 Remote Control Page 6 of 9 Configuring Bluetooth Remote Control ¾ When you click the “Remote” icon, you will see two pages “Config” and “ About ”. (Figure 3) Figure 3 ¾ How to switch the page of driver interface? Method 1: Please use the left direction or the right direction buttons of your N91 to switch the page. Method 2: Please use the left function key of your N91 to select the " Options " on your N91, and then switch the page by clicking the contents of your " Options ". Step 1: Turn the Bluetooth Remote on, the LED will flash blue for 1 second, the Bluetooth Remote is in discovery mode. Step 2: Ta p “Remote” icon in application list of the N91. Both of Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11b and Bluetooth TM typically located on this unlicensed frequency band which range covers from 2.4GHz to 2.4835GHz. To fulfil the friendly usage for antenna, this antenna has been designed to a typical 150MHz bandwidth through Walsin’s advanced LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) technology and superior product design via 3D EM Simulation Skill. This antenna has a rectangular ceramic body with a tiny dimension of 5.2x 2.0 x 1.1 mm 3 meet the future SMT automation and miniaturization requirements on modern portable devices.
