Users Manual

SR2 MANUAL The SR2 hi-power mini-PCI 802.11b/g radio card module has been specifically designed for use in outdoor wireless applications where additional link gain is critical. It is compatible with existing Atheros linux drivers and is capable of operation in the 2412-2462 MHz frequency range. Power and frequency limits are hard programmed into the radio card EEPROM, but card compatibility can be achieved with any Atheros Linux based software. Many SBC host platforms have been qualified for use with the SR2 module including: -Mikrotik Router Boards -PC Engines WRAP boards -Many SBC platforms from large telecommunication companies It is necessary that the system integrators perform all applicable retesting and certification for their final system configurations. First St. San Jose, CA 95112 (408)-385-1103 SR2 Pac Wireless Roo Tenna Antenna/Enclosure Software Driver SR2 IMPORTANT MODULAR APPROVAL INFORMATION This device is intended only form OEM integrator under the following conditions: 1) The antenna must be installed such that 20cm is maintained between the antenna and users, and 2) The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that these conditions cannot be met (for example certain laptop configurations or co-location with another transmitter), then the FCC authorization is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID cannot be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. End Product Labeling This transmitter module is authorized only for use in devices where the antenna may be installed such that 20 cm may be maintained between the antenna and users (for example access points, routers, wireless ADSL modems, and similar equipment). The final end product must be labeled in visible area with the following: “Contains TX FCC ID SWX-SR2: End Product Manual Information The user manual for end users must include the following information in a prominent location “IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, the antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.” SR2 IMPORTANT OPERATION INFORMATION Safety Information 20 cm

Second FCC ID will be obtained by OEM customers for use in their hosts. 7 The modular transmitter is manufactured so that the user cannot influence the operation of the transmitter that will operate outside of the scope of the regulations. There are Specific EEPROM settings inside the module that prohibit illegal usage. 8 Address compliance with the Commission's RF exposure limits in Sections 1.1310 and 2.1093. In addition, spread spectrum transmitters operating under Section 15.247 are required to address RF exposure compliance in accordance with Section 15.247(b)(4). Module is NOT a portable device for laptops. Only can be used in outdoor AP/CPE’s. MPE calculated minimum distance has been included in user manual.
