This base station transceiver (Radio Unit – RUS 01 B2) is designed for use in 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) within the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) for the Universal Mobile Telephone System (UMTS 3G) mobile system standard (cellular telephone system). The transmitter will operate from 1930 MHz to 1990 MHz with 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 MHz Channel Bandwidth. The receiver circuit supports 1850 MHz to 1910 MHz. This base station transceiver (RU) supports modulation type QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM. This base station is appropriate to use in different Ericsson radio base stations without re- measurement and re-filing when introducing a new base station type. The base station operates in the broadband PCS services as per 47 CFR Part 24 subpart E. It meets the requirements of 3GPP specification for operation in Universal Mobile Telephone System, UMTS 3G, in the radio access referred to as the Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network, E-UTRAN. This base station transceiver (RU) will in normal mode operate at a nominal power out of 20, 40 or 60 watts at the output connector. Ericsson AB requests confidentiality under CFR 0.459 according to attached letter. We further certify that the applicant nor any party to the application is subject to a denial of Federal benefits, that includes FCC benefits, pursuant to section 5301 of the Anti-Drug abuse Act of 1988, 21 U.S.C. This due to the following reasons: DS-CDMA and GSM Base Stations (BS) are designed strictly based on the technical specifications of the international project 3GPP (the 3rd Generation Partnership Project). The competition in this field is very intense and a less advanced solution/design could get an unfair advantage by accessing the information as listed below from common domain. As we believe that we have implemented groundbreaking solutions and designs into our recent BS/Radio Unit (RU) compared to the previous BS/RU, the listed Exhibits/Items need to be protected from disclosure to our competitors in the industry. As the FCC/IC records have in-depth information and a very wide distribution, we believe that you can understand our concerns. We are strong in our belief that all vendors in the industry need to compete by their own merits. We regard these Exhibits/Items to be our intellectual property and therefore as confidential information. As out BS are generally installed in restricted places, public access is not possible all thought some types of our BS under certain circumstances can be installed in an unrestricted place, but the doors on all of our BS’s are key-locked and can be opened only by authorized personnel. It is therefore individual modules within our BS that should not be revealed to the public. There are advanced technical and design solutions/information in the Exhibits/Items, as mentioned above, that we regard as Ericsson proprietary, with actual and potential patents pending. The information can be advantageous to our competitors as well as sources seeking ways to hack past the built in security functionality. These solutions or information thereof are not accessible even for our customers or partners unless non-disclosure agreements for particular item(s) have been signed. Confidential product information can be found in, but not necessarily limited to, internal photos of the BS and the RU, block diagrams, schematics diagrams, and parts lists as well as certain documents, such as the user’s manuals. Those documents can only be accessible by the customers who purchase out BS and accept the conditions and therefore are provided with unique information access tools. The frequency stabilizing circuitry and the power amplifier are still in stand-by mode below and above these temperatures to be prepared to transmit with proper function if the environment temperature reaches the applicable temperature range again. There is also a non- destruction temperature range outside the range above where the base station is shut down totally. Confidentiality. Each party agrees that all confidential documents, work product and information (including all computer code, internal photographs of products, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, technical and/or user manuals, related materials, and the existence of this Agreement) received or otherwise obtained from the other party pursuant to this Agreement, whether before or after the Effective Date, will be, and will be deemed to have been, received in confidence and will be used only for the purpose of carrying out the obligations of, or as otherwise contemplated by, this Agreement. In addition, each party agrees that public access to all confidential equipment supplied will be restricted either by installation of the equipment in a restricted area or by physically securing the equipment by other means, including, but not limited to, using a key-lock that can only be opened by authorized personnel. Without the other party’s prior written consent, neither party may disclose any such information to any third party or grant access to the confidential equipment to any unauthorized person, and each party will disclose such information only to such of its officers, employees and agents that have a need to know such information for the purposes contemplated hereby. However, the provisions of this Section will not apply to any such information that (i) is or becomes generally available to the public without the fault or negligence of either party, (ii) is already in the possession of the receiving party without being subject to another confidentiality obligation, (iii) is or becomes available to the receiving party on a non-confidential basis from a source other than the disclosing party; provided that such source is not bound by a confidentiality obligation of the disclosing party, (iv) is required to be disclosed pursuant to an arbitration proceeding conducted in accordance with this Agreement, or (v) is required to be disclosed pursuant to a requirement of any governmental authority or any statute, rule or regulation; provided that the party required to disclose such information of the other party provide to the other party notice of such requirement of any such disclosure and cooperates with the other party to prevent or restrict any such disclosure to the extent allowed by applicable law.

Test model E-TM1.1 was used to represent QPSK, test model E-TM3.2 to represent 16QAM and test model E-TM3.1 to represent 64QAM payload modulation. The setting TX single carrier with test model E-TM1.1 in channel bandwidth configuration 1.4 MHz was found to be representative for all traffic scenarios when several settings with different modulations and channel bandwidth configurations were compared to find a worst case setting. This setting was used for all measurements unless noted otherwise. The test object was powered with -48 VDC unless noted otherwise. All measurements were performed with the test object configured for maximum transmit power. Conducted measurements The EUT was mounted into a RBS 6201 cabinet and supplied by the cabinet’s internal -48 V DC. TX parameters were measured at port RF A with port RF B terminated into 50 ohm. RX spurious emission conducted was measured at port RF B with port RF A activated with E- TM1.1 in channel BW configuration 1.4 MHz on the TX band center frequency (M). Port RF A was terminated into 50 ohm. Radiated measurements The test object was tested stand-alone and supplied by functional test equipment with -48 VDC. The active port RF A was terminated into 50 ohm outside the test chamber. Port RF B was in stand-by mode and terminated into 50 ohm directly at the port. Purpose of test The purpose of the tests is to verify compliance to the performance characteristics specified in applicable parts of FCC CFR 47, IC RSS 133 and IC RSS-Gen.
