It belongs to Category 1 - 15.239 FM transmitter of the permit but ask procedure. The test has been finished and can prove that the application complies all the relative requirments of Part 15C (see attachment). 1) How does this device operate? The FM transmitter is a FM stereo transmitting configuration, which radiates FM wave on the air by modulating the any required signal to the carrier signal. The transmission frequency is set 88.1MHz to 107.9MHz, frequency interval is 0.1MHz. Operating Instructions: 1. Install two AAA batteries according to the indicated poles in the battery box. 2. Connect the audio cable of the transmitter to the audio-out or earphone jack of the sound source equipment(such as iPod, MP3, CD player) 3. Hold power switch for 6 seconds to turn on/off the power. 4. Turn left or right to select suitable FM frequency channel. 5. Press 3 seconds to save frequency setting. 6. Adjust the volume of the sound source equipment properly. 7. During the transmission, the transmitter will automatically be turned off, when it is not detected any audio signal frequency within 45 seconds. 2) Provide information on the device and its antenna. The transmitter has seven parts: transmitter body, audio cable, power keystoke, frequency select knob, frequency saving keystoke, LCD display and battery box. The transmitter utilizes a wire as dipole antenna. Antenna 3) How is it installed? The transmitter is powered by two AAA batteries. It can be connected to audio source headphone dock. 4) What test procedure was used? ANSI C63.4, the test was performed in a semi-anechoic chamber. 5) If tested in a car, how was it configured/tested? Not tested in a car, it was tested in a semi-anechoic chamber. The EUT has been additionally tested / verified and does work in a typical car. 6) Was the tuning range properly verified? The test lab should indicate in the report that the tuning controls were manually adjusted to verify maximum tuning range. The FM transmitter is a FM stereo transmitting configuration, which radiates FM wave on the air by modulating the any required signal to the carrier signal. The transmission frequency is set from 88.1 to 107.9MHz, frequency interval is 0.1MHz. We selected the low (88.1MHz) mid (98.1MHz) and High (107.9MHz) working frequency to measure the frequency. tune the knob to select the transmission frequency . We have indicated the testing in the test report, see clause 6. 7) Was the bandwidth properly tested with maximum audio input? The test was performed with the maximum audio input. And play typical audio signal (music song). We have indicated the operating condition in the test report, see clause 5.3.
Operation Description TMP3FT-F(DG) Operation Frequency Range: 88.1M-107.9MHz Modulation Type: FM 1. The device is supplied by 2 batteries. 3 V is increased to 3.3 V by IC U5 (BL8530) to supply MCU U1 (EM78153). The device is standby. 2. Press key βPOWERβ longer than 3 seconds, MCU send a signal 0 level to an electronic switch to switch on the device. MCU derives memory data from U3 (24C02) and send signals to FM IC U4 (BH1417) via pins DA, CK and CE. Meanwhile, send signals to display IC U2 (HT1621). 3. IC U2 (HT1621) displays frequency on LCD. 4. IC U4 (BH1417) works. Base frequency is 7.62 MHz produced by oscillator. External LC produces a frequency. After comparison, MCU produces a frequency to be transmitted by coupling capacitor C10, match network and antenna. 5. Audio signal is input to IC U4 (BH1417) via match network. The audio signal is modulated and transmitted. 6. MCU monitors audio input by circuit of (Q2, Q3, R5, R6, R8, R9, R10, C3, C4, D2). If detecting no input after 45 seconds, MCU will shut off the device and display βOFFβ on LCD. If audio input, MCU will recover to working mode.
