Locks and Alarms 48 L ENGINE IMMOBILISATION Engine immobilisation is an important aspect of the security system. It is designed to safeguard the vehicle from theft, should the driver forget to lock the doors. The system prevents the engine from being started unless the GENUINE remote control key is inserted into the starter switch. Engine immobilisation is automatic five seconds after the key is removed from the starter switch. Note: The engine will be re-mobilised automatically whenever the genuine remote control key is inserted into the starter switch. When this happens, the anti-theft alarm indicator will illuminate for one second and then extinguish. Caution: The immobiliser may suffer interference from other legal users of this frequency band. The immobiliser system operates on a frequency subject to USA Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules. The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules and RSS-210 of the industry Canada. Operation is subject to the two following conditions: 1.The device may not cause harmful interference. 2.This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The immobiliser frequency approval numbers for the USA and Canada are shown below: USA - TTRT5SJB. Canada - IC: 6276A-T5SJBR1 Note: Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio interference or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. SIGN OFF COPY
