R16F Introduction RadioLink R16F, 16-channel receiver, with real-time built-in telemetry supported, 2.4G FHSS spread spectrum algorithm and 67-channel pseudo-random frequency hopping, supports PWM, SBUS and CRSF signal. It is splash-proof, high voltage servo supported and can get the new functions by updating the firmware. R16F is compatible with RadioLink T16D/T12D/T8FB/T8S/RC8X/RC6GS V3/RC4GS V3/RC6GS V2/RC4GS V2/RC6GS/RC4GS transmitters. 2 Note: 1. For the function of Mavlink port, please refer to Bait Boat function of T16D/T12D transmitter. 2. Please do the following safety check before operating your model: (1) RSSI test (Received Signal Strength Indicator). For test method, please refer to the manual Chapter 8. RSSI Testing. (2) Antenna inspection: The gray line on R16F is coaxial cable, while the transparent line with a length of about 4-5 centimeters at the top is antenna. If the transparent line is broken or damaged, it will directly affect the control distance. If any abnormality is found, please replace the receiver antenna in time. 2. Receiver Protocol Selection If R16D is used together with T16D/T12D, please select receiver protocol in the transmitter. Enter Transmitter Setting--RF SETTING,and then select the protocol. R16F supports FHSS V1, FHSS V2 and FHSS V2.1 protocol. It is recommended to select FHSS V2.1 protocol. FHSS V2 and FHSS V2.1 protocol PWM output resolution level is 4096, so they can achieve a more precise operation. 2. FHSS V2 and FHSS V2.1 support 8 channels. When using R16F and 12F, if FHSS V1 or FHSS V2 protocol is selected, only 8 channels are available on the receiver. 3. After switching protocols, please re-bind the receiver and the transmitter. 4. If digital servo is used, you can select 3ms or 4ms servo speed. 3. Binding Each receiver has an individual ID code and must bind with transmitter before using. When the binding 3 is done, the ID code will be stored in the transmitter and there is no need to rebind. Therefore, when a new R16F is purchased, binding needs to be done in order to work with transmitter. Binding steps: (1) If T16D/T12D/RC8X transmitter is used, select the receiver protocol in the transmitter. For T16D/T12D transmitter, you also need to make sure you have select Internal for MODULE SELECTION, as shown on the right. (Please refer to Chapter 2. Receiver Protocol Selection) Note: If you are using a transmitter other than 16D/T12D/RC8X, such as RC6GS/RC4GS/T8S/T8FB, etc., go to step 2 directly. (2) Put the transmitter and the receiver close to each other (about 60 centimeters). Note: The close distance of the transmitter and receiver may cause signal block, which leads to unsuccessful binding or signal loss. (3) Turn on the transmitter and the receiver, and the LED of R16F will start flashing slowly. (4) There is a black binding button (ID SET) on the side of receiver. Press the button for more than 1 second and release, the LED will flash quickly, indicate binding process is ongoing. (5) When the LED stops flashing and is always on, binding is complete and there will be a signal tower shown on top of the LCD screen of the transmitter. If not succeed, the LED will keep flashing slowly to notify, repeat the above steps. Note: a. When the transmitter and receiver are powered on, if binding fails or the signal is lost, the LED of the receiver will keep flashing to notify. b. The close distance between the transmitter and receiver may cause a signal block, which leads to unsuccessful binding or signal loss. After the binding is successful, if the transmitter and receiver are too close (for example, within 60 centimeters), the signal may also be lost because of signal block. Bring the transmitter and the receiver farther apart, the signal loss will disappear automatically. 4. Telemetry R16F supports real-time built-in telemetry, including signal strength, RSSI value, receiver voltage and model battery voltage. When R16F is connected to the flight controller and using the bait boat function of T16D/T12D, the fishing spot information such as fishing spot name, latitude, and longitude, distance, heading, the number of GPS satellites received, etc. will be displayed on the transmitter screen. Connect one end of the telemetry cable to the R16F telemetry port, and the other end to the ESC to return the power battery voltage. These test exclusion conditions are based on source-based time-averaged maximum conducted output power of the RF channel requiring evaluation, adjusted for tune-up tolerance, and the minimum test separation distance required for the exposure conditions. The minimum test separation distance defined in 4.1 f) is determined by the smallest distance from the antenna and radiating structures or outer surface of the device, according to the host form factor, exposure conditions and platform requirements, to any part of the body or extremity of a user or bystander. To qualify for SAR test exclusion, the test separation distances applied must be fully explained and justified, typically in the SAR measurement or SAR analysis report, by the operating configurations and exposure conditions of the transmitter and applicable host platform requirements, according to the required published RF exposure KDB procedures. When no other RF exposure testing or reporting are required, a statement of justification and compliance must be included in the equipment approval, in lieu of the SAR report, to qualify for SAR test exclusion. When required, the device specific conditions described in the other published RF exposure KDB procedures must be satisfied before applying these SAR test exclusion provisions; for example, handheld PTT two-way radios, handsets, laptops and tablets, etc.. For 100 MHz to 6 GHz and test separation distances ≤ 50 mm, the 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds are determined by the following: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/ (min. test separation distance, mm)] · [√f (GHz) ] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where  f (GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz  Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation  The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison The test exclusions are applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50 mm, and for transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz.
