Userís Guide MBP20 Baby Monitor The features described in this user's guide are subject to modifications without prior notice. Welcome... to your new Motorola Baby Monitor! Thank you for purchasing the MBP20. Now you can see and hear your baby sleeping in the other room or you can monitor your older children in their play room. Please retain your original dated sales receipt for your records. For warranty service of your Motorola product, you will need to provide a copy of your dated sales receipt to confirm warranty status. Registration is not required for warranty coverage. For product-related questions, please call: US and Canada1-888-331-3383 On the Web: www.motorola.com This User's Guide provides you with all the information you need to get the most from your product. Before you can use the baby monitor, we recommend you insert and fully charge the battery in the parent unit, so that it continues to work if you disconnect it from the mains power to carry it to another location. Please read the Safety Instructions on page 8 before you install the units. Indicates no connection between the baby unit and parent unit. Indicates when speaker of parent unit is muted. Indicates the speaker volume level of parent unit. Indicates when parent unit or baby unit is playing lullaby. Indicates when timer alarm is activated. Indicates when the sound alert is set on. Low battery, needs charging. 1/2 battery level. Important guidelines for installing our Baby Monitor ï To use your baby unit and parent unit together, you must be able to establish a radio link between them, and the range will be affected by environmental conditions. ï Any large metal object, like a refrigerator, a mirror, a filing cabinet, a metallic doors or reinforced concrete, between the baby and parent unit may block the radio signal. ï The signal strength may also be reduced by other solid structures, like walls, or by radio or electrical equipment, such as TV's, computers, cordless or mobile phones, fluorescent lights or dimmer switches. ï If the signal is poor, try moving the parent and/or the baby unit to different positions in the rooms. 7 1. The device does not use the provisions of 47CFR 15.323 (c) (6), random waiting mechanism is not used in this system. 2. The provisions of 47CFR 15.323 (c) (10) and 47CFR 15.323 (c) (11) are not used to extend the range of spectrum occupied over space or time for the purpose of denying fair access to spectrum to other devices. 3. Only the parent unit will act as the initiating device, which will initiate the establishment of the duplex connection. 4. The device complies with the provisions of 47CFR 15.319(f). The device shall automatically discontinue transmission in case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure. These provisions are not intended to preclude transmission of control and signaling information or use of repetitive codes used by certain digital technologies to complete frame or burst intervals.
