EvolveNet Portal™ User Manual Version 1.12.10 BuLogics, Inc. Introduction: The EvolveNet Portal™ by BuLogics, Inc., is an integral portion of the Evolve Guest Controls comprehensive energy management solution. Each EvolveNet Portal controls an entire network of Z-Wave devices and communicates with the EvolveNet Router™ to send device management messages. Nothing works more accurately or efficiently to share information about energy status than the EvolveNet Portal. Important Information: • Do not insert the EvolveNet Portal into any other device other than the receiving slots of the licensed EvolveNet Router. • Do NOT submerge the EvolveNet Portal in water or place in a high humidity area. • Store any unused EvolveNet Portals away from heat sources in a dry location. Installation Instructions: 1) If using only one EvolveNet Portal, always place the EvolveNet Portal into the back receiving slot of the EvolveNet Router first (next to the antenna). Additional EvolveNet Portals can be inserted into either of the other receiving slots. 2) Press the EvolveNet Portal into the slot gently but firmly until it cannot go any farther. 3) Once the EvolveNet Portal is inserted, LEDs will illuminate as defined below. EvolveNet Portal LED Definition • Red LED blinks to show that the EvolveNet Portal is receiving commands. • Blue LED blinks to show the network health. o <50% = slow blink o >50% = fast blink Z-Wave: This device uses Z-Wave and can communicate with other Z-Wave devices regardless of the manufacturer. For more information, visit www.z-wave.com. FCC Information: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
