This radio complies with the IEEE and ICNIRP exposure limits for occupational/controlled RF exposure environment at operating duty factors of up to 50% transmitting and is authorized by the FCC for occupational use only. In terms of measuring RF energy for compliance with the FCC exposure guidelines, your radio radiates measurable RF energy only while it is transmitting (during talking in PTT mode), not when it is receiving (listening) or in standby mode. The device complies with SAR and/or RF field strength limits of RSS-102 requirement and contact information where the user can obtain Canadian information on RF exposure and compliance. Your radio complies with the following of RF energy exposure standards and guidelines ● United States Federal Communications Commission, Code of Federal Regulations; 47CFR part 2 sub-part J ● American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) C95. 1-1992 ● Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) C95. 1-1999 Edition ● International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) 1998 Operational Instructions and Training Guidelines To ensure optimal performance and compliance with the occupational/controlled environment RF energy exposure limits in the above standards and guidelines, users should transmit no more than 50% of the time and always adhere to the following procedures; and should transmit no more than 50% of the time, although the hardware support transmission up to 100% of the time in analog mode and up to 50% in digital mode. V1.0 Page 97 of 129 Report No.: WE10090026 FCC ID: YAMPD78XVHF 4.9. Receiver Radiated Spurious Emssion TEST APPLICABLE The field strength is calculated by adding the Antenna Factor and Cable Factor and subtracting the Amplifier Gain and Duty Cycle Correction Factor (if any) from the measured reading. The basic equation with a sample calculation is as follows: FS = RA + AF + CL - AG Where FS = Field Strength CL = Cable Attenuation Factor (Cable Loss) RA = Reading Amplitude AG = Amplifier Gain AF = Antenna Factor TEST CONFIGURATION (A) Radiated Emission Test Set-Up, Frequency below 1000MHz (B) Radiated Emission Test Set-Up, Frequency above 1000MHz TEST PROCEDURE 1 The EUT was placed on a turn table which is 0.8m above ground plane. 2 Maximum procedure was performed by raising the receiving antenna from 1m to 4m and rotating the turn table from 0 to 360 to acquire the highest emissions from EUT°C°C 3 And also, each emission was to be maximized by changing the polarization of receiving antenna both horizontal and vertical. 4 Repeat above procedures until all frequency measurements have been completed. 1m to 4m Test Receiver EUT 3m 0.8m Turntable Coaxial Cable Ground Plane V1.0 Page 98 of 129 Report No.: WE10090026 FCC ID: YAMPD78XVHF RECEIVER RADIATED SPOUIOUS LIMIT For unintentional device, according to § 15.109(a) and RSS-Gen, except for Class A digital devices, the field strength of radiated emissions from unintentional radiators at a distance of 3 meters shall not exceed the following values: Frequency (MHz) Distance (Meters) Radiated (dBμV/m) Radiated (μV/m) 30-88 3 40.0 100 88-216 3 43.5 150 216-960 3 46.0 200 Above 960 3 54.0 500 For intentional device, according to § 15.209(a), the general requirement of field strength of radiated emissions from intentional radiators at a distance of 3 meters shall not exceed the above table. TEST RESULTS The Radiated Measurement are performed to the three channels (the top channel, the middle channel and the bottom channel), the datum recorded below is the worst case for each channel separation;and the EUT shall be scanned from 30 MHz to the 5th harmonic of the highest oscillator frequency in the digital devices or 1 GHz whichever is higher.
