Professional Testing (EMI), Inc. 1601 FM 1460, Suite B Round Rock, Texas 78664 August 12, 2010 On behalf of Hubbell Building Automation, Professional Testing (EMI), Inc. is seeking a modular approval for the WIHUBB transmitter. Requirements listed in FCC part 15.212 and Section 7.1.1 of RSS-Gen Issue 2 are addressed below. 1) The device has a RF shield covering the RF generating portion of the circuit board. 2) The external data inputs are buffered using two 64-byte FIFO buffers available, with one FIFO buffer reserved for Transmit (TX) mode and another 64-byte FIFO buffer reserved for Receive (RX) mode. 3) The module is powered from a self contained switching power source that converts AC voltage to 5 VDC. An internal regulator converts 5 VDC to 3.3 VDC. 4) The modular transmitter complies with AC line conducted requirements found in FCC 15.207. This data is contained in the Test Report exhibit. 5) The antenna requirement is satisfied by the use of reverse polarity SMA connectors. 6) The module was tested in a stand-alone configuration, free of an enclosure. 7) A sticker is affixed to the back side of the WIHUBB. The manual contains the explicit directions to label the exterior of the device into which the WIHUBB is integrated with “Contains FCC ID: YH9WIHUBB”. 8) The Users Manual explains that any modifications may strictly void the certification and a separate approval must be obtained. 9) Emissions are far below the RF Exposure limits.
