The use of accessory attachments not recommended b y the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock o r injury to persons. 5. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burn er, or in a heated oven. 6. Do not use outdoors. 7. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury do not immerse cords, plugs, or the appliance in water or any other liqui d. 8. Do not overfill the Water Reservoir with water. 9. Use only water in this appliance! Do not put any other liquids or foods in the Water Reservoir except as instructed in the Cle aning Instructions in this guide. 10. Turn off and unplug the Brewer before cleaning or maintenance. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and befo re cleaning the appliance. 11. For best operation, plug the appliance into its ow n electrical outlet on a dedicated circuit to prevent flickering of lights, blowing of fuses or tripping a circuit breaker. 12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord o r plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is damaged in any manner. Contact Keurig® Customer Service to report any malfunction of or da mage to the Brewer. 13. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the tabl e or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 14. To disconnect, press the Power Button on the Brewe r to ‘OFF’ status and then remove the plug from the wall outlet. 15. The appliance must be grounded us ing a 3-hole properly grounded outlet. In the event of an electr ical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock. 19. If the outlet is a standard 2-prong wall outlet, i t is your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced w ith a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. 20. Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord or use an adapter. 21. Consult a qualified electrician if the grounding i nstructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whe ther the appliance is properly grounded. 22. Do not use the appliance for other than its intend ed use. 3 CAUTION: There are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup ® portion pack, one above the K-Cup Holder and the other in t he bottom of the K-Cup Holder. To avoid risk of injury, do not put your fi ngers in the K-Cup Assembly Housing. CAUTION: There is extremely hot water in the K-Cup Holder du ring the brew process. To avoid risk of injury, do not lift the Handle or open the K- Cup Assembly Housing during the brewing process. SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or trip ping over a longer cord. If an extension cord is used, (1) the marked electr ical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as th e electrical rating of the appliance; (2) the cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and (3) the extension cord must in clude a 3-prong grounding plug. The product is the B81. We found that the product met the above requirements with modification (see Modifications Required for Compliance section on page 6). Ranganarayan Narasimhan from Keurig Inc. was present during the testing. The test sample was received in good condition. Test Methodology Radiated emission and AC Line conducted testing was performed according to the procedures specified in ANSI C63.10 (2009) and C63.4 (2009). Radiated Emissions were maximized by rotating the device around its axes as well as varying the test antenna’s height and polarity. The device antenna cannot be maximized separately. Radiated emissions about the digital circuitry within the coffee brewer were not tested due to exemption. Section 15.103(d), a digital device utilized exclusively as an appliance. Conducted emission at the antenna port was performed, as required by rule section. The EUT receives backscattered RFID information at the same time that it transmits the data, it does not contain a dedicated receive mode. The EUT operating voltage is 120Vac 60Hz. Low operating channel frequency = 910MHz Mid operating channel frequency = 915MHz High operating channel frequency = 922MHz The following bandwidths were used during radiated spurious and line conducted emissions.
