Preliminary 1 Revision 0.3 (10/2023) EV54D56A Regulatory Compliance Information Revision 0.3 Oct 2023 Preliminary 2 Revision 0.3 (10/2023) This document contains the Regulatory Compliance information which will be part of the EV54D56A (ATA5835-XPRO) datasheet and related documents shared with customers. Preliminary 3 Revision 0.3 (10/2023) 1.0 Usage Instructions This equipment (EV54D56A/ATA5835-XPRO) is an evaluation board and not a f inished product. It is not directly marketed or sold to the general public through retail; it is only sold through authorized distributors or through Microchip. Using this equipment requires a signif icant engineering expertise towards understanding of the tools and relevant technology, which can be expected only f rom a person who is professionally trained in the technology. The user must comply with all the instructions provided by the Grantee, which indicate installation and/or operating conditions necessary f or compliance. 2.0 Antenna Considerations The f ollowing table provides details about the approved antenna. Whip 3.0 Regulatory Approval This equipment has received regulatory approval f or the f ollowing countries: • United States/FCC ID: 2ADHK54D56 • Canada/ISED: o IC ID: 20266-54D56 o HVIN: EV54D56A • European Union/CE 3.1.0 United States This equipment has been approved f or use in the United States under Federal Communications Commission (FCC) CFR47 Telecommunications, Part 15 Subpart C “Intentional Radiators”. 3.1.1 Labeling and User Information The FCC ID label has been permanently affixed to equipment on the bottom silkscreen layer of the board and is visible, as well as, legible to the user. Due to the size of the equipment, the f ollowing compliance statements are included in the user manual: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the f ollowing two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmf ul interf erence, and (2) this device must accept any interf erence received, including interf erence that may cause undesired operation. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and f ound to comply with the limits f or a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmf ul interf erence in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmf ul interf erence to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interf erence will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmf ul interf erence to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment of f and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interf erence by one or more of the f ollowing measures: — Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. — Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Preliminary 4 Revision 0.3 (10/2023) — Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit dif f erent f rom that to which the receiver is connected. — Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician f or help. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and a human body. FCC NOTICE: This kit is designed to allow: (1) Product developers to evaluate electronic components, circuitry, or software associated with the kit to determine whether to incorporate such items in a f inished product and (2) Sof tware developers to write sof tware applications f or use with the end product. This kit is not a f inished product and when assembled may not be resold or otherwise marketed unless all required FCC equipment authorizations are f irst obtained. Operation is subject to the condition that this product not cause harmful interference to licensed radio stations and that this product accept harmful interf erence. Unless the assembled kit is designed to operate under part 15, part 18 or part 95 of this chapter, the operator of the kit must operate under the authority of an FCC license holder or must secure an experimental authorization under part 5 of this chapter.
