Indicator Light ● The LED lights up red when transmi�ng. ● The LED lights up green when receiving. 3.Power On/Off/Volume 4. PTT Bu�on ● Press to talk. ● Release to listen. 5. Keypad Lock Bu�on ● Short press: Acts as the Return key. ● Long press: Locks the keypad. 6. Side Bu�on 1 ● Short press: Toggles squelch. ● Long press: Starts scanning. 7. Side Bu�on 2 - Smart Func�ons Weather Forecast Func�on ● Long press Side Bu�on 2 to enter Weather Forecast mode. The screen will display “WX,” and the radio will begin scanning weather channels. ● Short press Side Bu�on 2 to stop scanning. The speaker enters monitor mode, allowing you to use the Up/Down keys to select and listen to Weather Channels 1-10. WEATHER ALERT ● While monitoring a weather channel, short-press the Side Bu�on 2 again to toggle WEATHER ALERT ON/OFF. You can select a specific channel to be used as the monitoring channel. If a different channel is selected later, the latest one becomes the new monitoring channel. ● When a 1050Hz weather alert tone is detected on the selected weather alert channel, the radio will sound an alarm. The Ba�ery level on the display will indicate when fully charged. 2: USB-C cable charge: Plug the USB-C cable to the radio's 5V connector. The ba�ery level indicator on the display will show when the device is fully charged. MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS SQUELCH 1.Press the MENU bu�on and scroll UP or DOWN un�l “SQL” displays. 2.Press the OK bu�on to enter the se�ng. 3.Use the UP or DOWN bu�ons to select a Squelch level from 0 to 9(Default: 1) 4.Press the OK bu�on to confirm selec�on. NOTE: Level 9 provides the highest interference suppression but may reduce communica�on range. Level 0 fully opens the squelch, allowing all signals—faint or strong—to be heard. Choose a level that filters out weak signals while allowing clear communica�on to come through. Transmit CTCSS and DCS CODE SETTING 1.Press the MENU bu�on and scroll UP or DOWN un�l “TCS” displays. 2.Press the OK bu�on to enter the se�ng. 3.Use the UP or DOWN bu�ons to select CTCSS code (01-50) or DCS code group (104 op�ons) or OFF. The default se�ng is OFF. 4.Press the OK bu�on to confirm selec�on. IIIGENERAL OPERATION • Displayed when the Busy Channel Lockout func�on is ON • Busy Channel Lockout beep icon blinks and transmissison is disabled • During weather forecast ac�va�on, the display will show "WX" when ini�ated. • Displays when the radio is set to low power mode. • When entering the weather func�on, "WX" will be displayed. • VOX func�on is ac�ve. • VOX func�on enables hands-free communica�on. Note: Excessive external noise can limit the effec�veness of this func�on. • Displays ba�ery level and charging status. • When the ba�ery is low, an empty ba�ery icon flashes and a “di” sound is emi�ed. Playback Recordings: When the recording func�on is turned on, each recording is saved as a separate file. Short press the REPLAY bu�on to display the list of recordings. Use the UP and DOWN keys to select a recording number for playback. SCAN MODE 1.Press the MENU bu�on and scroll UP or DOWN �ll “SCN” displays. 2.Press the OK bu�on to enter the se�ng. 3.Use the UP or DOWN bu�ons to select OS or TS mode. The default se�ng is OS. OS (Carrier Scan) When a valid carrier signal is detected, the scan stops and remains on that channel for communica�on. TS (Time Scan) Briefly pauses (approximately 5 seconds) on an ac�ve channel before con�nuing the scan cycle. 4.Press the OK bu�on to confirm selec�on. NOISE REDUCTION CONTROL 1.Press the MENU bu�on and scroll UP or DOWN �ll “NRC” displays. 2.Press the OK bu�on to enter the se�ng. 3.Use the UP or DOWN bu�ons to select OFF, Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3.
