EN I MPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING â To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed, including the following: 1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and all the important notices on the appliance before using. Failure to do so may result in loss of fish life and/or damage to this appliance. 2. DANGER â To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance to an authorized service facility for service or discard the appliance. A. If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source. B. Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet. If the appliance or any part of it falls into the water DO NOT reach for it. First unplug the unit before retrieving. C. Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or it is dropped or damaged in any manner. The power cord of this appliance cannot be replaced; if the cord is damaged, the a ppliance should be discarded. Never cut the cord. D. Unplug transformer prior to cleaning the light fixture. Use both hands when manipulating this appliance. Wipe exposed surfaces carefully with a damp cloth to remove any dust or mineral deposits that may collect over time. Do not use detergents or harsh cleaners as it can damage the light fixture. Use Fluval LED Lens Cleaning Non-Aerosol Spray (A3969) to clean the LED portion of the light fixture. Make sure all surfaces are dry before re-connecting the transformer to the power source.
