Mount the lock onto the door, ensuring during installation that the beveled edge of the lock faces the door frame. * The bevel on the latch should face the door jamb Install the strike plate to the door frame. Step 4 Handle Reversal InstructionsStep 5 Installing Exterior Assembly Install the spindle and the mounting post by inserting the spindle into the hole (if you need to remove the spindle later, you can press diagonally on the release button to pull it out). Then, twist to install the mounting post. From the outside, pass the Outer Panel through the lock body, and reinforce it with the backplate. Pay special attention to the positions of the Top and the cable. Thread the screw on the other sideRotate the handle 180 degrees Rotate the spindleRemove the screw Lift the handle Step 7 Install the Interior Assembly Upside Down Note: Check carefully whether the wire is stuck or tangled. lf the wire is stuck, re-install the lnterior Assembly. Connect the Outer Panel's cable to the socket on the interior assembly, and tuck any excess cable into the mounting hole. ! Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plateand check if the bolt retracts by turning the handle. Tighten the interior Assembly with screws D. 1.Insert 8 AA Alkaline Batteries and keep the batteries on the battery pull tab, then install the battery cover.
