Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. WARNING: • Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. • The AC adapter is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended used. In order to disconnect the unit from the mains completely, the AC adapter should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely. • The AC adapter of unit should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended use. • Minimum 10 cm (4 inches) distances around the unit for sufficient ventilations. • The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains, etc. • No naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the unit. on SaFety • Disconnect the AC adapter immediately if liquid spills into or onto the unit, or if an object falls into the unit. The unit should not be used until service by a qualified service personnel is completed. • The unit shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquid, such as vases, shall be placed on the unit. on USe Never use the unit where it would be subject to: - Heat sources such as radiators or air ducts. - Direct sunlight. For CUStomerS In Canada This apparatus complies with the Class B limits for radio noise emission set out in radio interference regulations. CAN ICES-3 (B) / NMB-3 (B) CaUtIon TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, DO NOT PLACE ANY HEATING OR COOKING APPARATUS BENEATH THIS UNIT. This device complies with Industry Canada Licence-exempt RSS-210. EN - FR - 3 tooLS needed: 1) Electric drill with 1/4” bit; 2) Phillips-head (cross style) screwdriver. SteP 1 If your cabinet does not have an overhang: a) Place the Mounting Template in the desired location inside or underneath the cabinet (whichever has less obstructions, and will be easier for you to reach to drill holes), flush with the front edge of the cabinet and tape it down. Go to STEP 2. If your cabinet doeS have an overhang: a) Measure the thickness “T” of the cabinet overhang (see Figure 1). b) Fold the Mounting Template along the guideline that is closest to the thickness of your cabinet overhang. c) Tape Mounting Template to the underside of the cabinet with the folded portion of the Mounting Template flush up against the cabinet overhang (see Figure 2). Go to STEP 2. SteP 2 Use an electric drill with a ¼” drill bit (not included) to drill all three holes marked on the Mounting Template (see Figure 3). To reduce splintering, place a small piece of masking tape over each hole location before drilling. Go to STEP 3. SteP 3 If your cabinet does not have an overhang: a) SIX screws are included with this unit, but you will only need three of them. Select the screw length which will go completely through your cabinet bottom, and provide at least 3/8” of thread to screw into the unit. b) Insert the three selected screws through each hole from the inside of the cabinet going down (see Figure 4). Warning: Please follow the steps below for proper mounting: 1. We recommend you install the 3 screws using hand tools. Do not use power tools because high torque can damage the threads on the main unit. 2. Please hold and support the unit before you insert any of the screws. 3. First mount 2 screws on opposite corners of the unit. c) Hold the unit up against the bottom of the cabinet, and align the three holes on the top of the unit with the screws. Partially tighten each screw, but do not fully tighten the screws until all of them have been started. d) Gently tighten each screw until they are firmly holding the unit in place. mounting Instructions EN - FR - 4 If your cabinet doeS have an overhang: a) SIX screws are included with this unit, but you will only need three of them. Operational Description

Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a Kitchen Radio with Bluetooth audio feature. The Bluetooth portion is operating between 2402MHz and 2480MHz (79 channels with 1MHz channel spacing). When the EUT is switched ON in Bluetooth mode, the display will show “BT” and a LED flashing. The Bluetooth enabled device would be searched and connected the EUT before playing audio. After pairing, the “BT” LED will stay lit. The audio signal will be amplified and fed to internal stereo loudspeaker. The EUT also have FM radio and timer clock function. A LED display acts as the visual interface. The EUT is powered by 5V DC from an AC/DC adaptor. The AC/DC adaptor can accept 100-240VAC. 2.4GHz Bluetooth Module: Modulation Type: GFSK Antenna Type: Integral, Internal Frequency Range: 2402MHz - 2480MHz, 1MHz channel spacing, 79 channels Nominal field strength is 98.6dB μV/m @ 3m Production Tolerance of field strength is +/- 3dB Antenna gain is 0dBi The functions of main ICs are mentioned below. 1. BlueTooth module CMD2022B (BT1): 1) IC3 (CW6638M) acts as the 2.4GHz radio core of Bluetooth module 2) IC2 (AX2225) is MCU integrating with audio DSP and CODEC. 3) IC4 (24C08) is 8k serial EEPROM for parameter storage. 4) Y2 (26MHz) crystal provides system clock for IC3. 5) X302 (32.768kHz) crystal provides system clock for IC2. 2. AM/FM Radio Portion: 1) U3 (BK1080) acts as digital FM radio demodulator. 3. MCU module: 1) U2 (HC180230A) acts as MCU core for the product. 2) Y202 (32.768kHz) acts as clock for the MCU core (U2). 4. Audio portion: 1)U1(MC4863)is stereo 2W power amplifiers driving built-inloudspeakers. 5. Power Supply portion: 1) IC1 (JZ6206) is 3.3V voltage regulator. Antenna Type: Internal, Integral Antenna Gain: 0dBi Nominal rated field strength: 98.6dBμV/m at 3m Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance: +/- 3dB According to the KDB 447498: Based on the Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance was 101.6dBμV/m at 3m in frequency 2.4GHz, thus; The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] = 4.336mW Conducted power = Radiated Power (EIRP) – Antenna Gain So; Conducted Power = 4.336mW. The conducted source-based time-averaged output power = (4.336 *5/6 ) mW = 3.61 mW The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.53 mW Since the above conducted source-based time-averaged output power is well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
