Device User Manual Product info Last updated: 2015-04-15 This page applies to the following Google hardware: Hardware Model Smart BLE Device CAP1 DEVICE USER MANUAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1.Remove the device from the box 2.Charge your device using enclosed equipment 3.Wear your device, it will start to work automatically CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS 1.Take the device and strap off. 2.Push gently on the glass front of the device to pop it out of the metal frame. 3.Use the supplied cable to plug the device into the charger. To access e-label information, including the device’s FCC ID: 1.When device is in “off wrist”/”sleep” mode, tap to wake device 2.Swipe right (left-to-right) to get to device details (will show battery icon) 3.Swipe up (bottom-to-top) to get to e-label information When device is in “on wrist mode”, repeat Step 2-3 to access e-label information SAFETY INFORMATION Restrictions of use: • ​Keep the wearable device away from small children. • The device has glass that may break under substantial impact. Battery The device contains a lithium–ion battery (nominal capacity 110 mAh). If it’s not handled properly, there’s a risk of explosion, fire and burns. What exactly is improper handling? Puncturing, incinerating, deforming, bending, modifying, attempting to insert foreign objects into the battery, shorting the contacts, trying to disassemble, or exposing the battery to water or high temperatures, among other things that are even more obvious. Repair Neither device nor any of its accessories contain any parts that you or a friend could service yourselves - repairs should only be made by an authorized technician. Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the equipment, and may void the user’s authority to operate the device. MANUFACTURER This device was designed by Google, Inc. of 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043 and assembled in China. INTERNATIONAL RESTRICTIONS Device is currently authorized for use in the United States. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including with limitation export and import laws and regulations. U.S. REGULATORY NOTICES This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: ● Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ● Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ● Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. ● Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Access to the required information on the e­label 1. Users are able to access the information in no more than three steps in a device’s menu. The actual steps are: To access e­label information, including the device’s FCC ID: 1.Make sure the device is not in sleep mode. If it is, wake up the device; 2.Swipe right (left­to­right) to get device details (will show battery icon); 3.Swipe up (bottom­to­top) to get to e­label information No special access codes or permissions are required to go through the above steps. 2. The information is stored on the device, no special accessories or supplemental plug­ins ​(e.g., ​a SIM/USIM card) are required to access the information. 3. Users are provided specific instructions on how to access the information. The information is provided on the first page in the draft user manual. C. Labeling for Importation and Purchasing Products utilizing e­labels are required to have a physical label on the product at the time of importation, marketing and sales. For devices imported in bulk and not packaged individually, a removable adhesive label or, for devices in protective bags, a label on the bags is acceptable for this purpose. Any removable label shall be of a type intended to survive normal shipping and handling and must only be removed by the customer after purchase. For devices imported already in individual packages ready for sale, the information may alternatively be provided on the package. It shall contain: 1. The FCC ID and/or the DoC logo (if applicable); and 2. Any other information required by specific rule to be provided on the surface of the product unless such information is permitted to be included in the User’s manual or other packaging inserts. At the time of importation, marketing, and sale, the device will have the required physical label, which will include the device’s FCC ID. D. Other considerations 1. The above information must be programmed by the responsible party and the information must be secured in such a manner that third­parties cannot modify it. The e­label of the device is programmed by the responsible party and secured in such a manner that it cannot be modified by third­parties. 2. All the applicable regulatory information required on the packaging or user instructions must be provided according to the rules even if it is displayed electronically. For example, hearing aid compatibility (HAC) ratings for the phones as specified in 47 C.F.R. § 20.19. Applicable regulatory information not found in the e­label is contained in the user manual, as set forth in the response to Question A.1 above.
