From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2012 8:52 AM To: Bill Stumpf Subject: Response to Inquiry to FCC (Tracking Number 150164) FCC Home | Search | RSS | Updates | E-Filing | Initiatives | Consumers | Find Office of Engineering and Technology Inquiry on 10/10/2012 : Inquiry: We have a question regarding transmitter certification of two transmitter modules with the same RF circuit but other circuit differences on the PC board. FCC Part 2 and FCC permissive Change regulations allow only minor changes to a transmitter, and the RF circuit must be electrically identical. Based on the description information and exhibits provided, can these two circuit board designs be certified as one certification/one FCC ID, or will it need to be done as two separate certifications? FCC response on 10/15/2012 Please provide side by side photo's of the two boards with sufficient detail to show the differences. Highlight or point to the different components. Please help define what are the ARM, SDIO, UART, GPIO acronyms, their functions and any other difference between the two boards. For each, indicate whether this is part of the transmitter function or some other digital function. ---Reply from Customer on 10/17/2012--- Please see the attached files showing; - PC Board "Picture Explanation" with details on the differences. Included is descriptions of the acronyms used. - Pinouts for both versions of the PC board FCC response on 10/18/2012 This appears to meet the KDB 178919 Section 2) h) and involves only the non transmitter portion so it can go under the same FCC ID. Attachment Details: Do not reply to this message. Please select the Reply to an Inquiry Response link from the OET Inquiry System to add any additional information pertaining to this inquiry.
