INSTRUCTION MANUAL VHF MOBILE TRANSCEIVER iF5063 iF5061 UHF MOBILE TRANSCEIVER iF6063 iF6061 i EXPLICIT DEFINITIONS R WARNING! NEVER connect the transceiver to an AC outlet. This may pose a fire hazard or result in an electricshock. NEVER connect the transceiver to a power source of more than 16 V DC such as a 24 V battery. This connection will ruinthe transceiver. NEVER cut the DC power cable between the DC plug and fuse holder. If an incorrect connection is made after cutting,the transceiver might be damaged. NEVER place the transceiver where normal operation of the vehicle may be hindered or where it could cause bodilyinjury. NEVER allow children to touch the transceiver. NEVER expose the transceiver to rain, snow or any liquids. USE the specified microphone only. Other microphones have different pin assignments and may damage the trans-ceiver. DO NOT use or place the transceiver in areas with tem- peratures below –30°C (–22°F) or above +60°C (+140°F), orin areas subject to direct sunlight, such as the dashboard. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that the the occupied bandwidth plots on pages 30, 34, 35 and 36 of the report do not show the delta markers at the proper dBc points. The actual occupied bandwidth on page 30 appears to be at least 3kHz and possibly 6kHz greater than reported; and the actual bandwidth on pages 34, 35 and 36 appears to be also 3 to 6kHz greater than stated. Please note that the occupied bandwidth measurements must include ALL signal levels greater than the dBc measurement points and not just the first occurrence of the dBc point. Please explain why the delta markers on the plots did not consider the two side lobes which show signal levels higher than the dBc for occupied bandwidths. 2. Please remember that the MPE file is a separate file when uploaded to the FCC. Please provide a separate MPE report for this application. 3. Please note that the manual states 38cm separation for MPE for the IC-F6061 (see page 18 of the manual), but the MPE section of the report states the 48cm. Please correct the manual to be in line with the actual calculated MPE for the system.
