HARRIS CORPORATION 221 Jefferson Ridge Parkway Lynchburg, VA 24501 www.harris.com December 19, 2014 Rhein Tech Laboratories, LLC 360 Herndon Pkwy Suite 1400 Herndon, VA 20170 Subject: XG-100LPA Attestation This device complies with the regulations laid out in Section 2.815: 1. No power amplifiers have yet been offered for sale or lease. 2. The amplifier requires a DC voltage on the RF input coax to turn it on. The XG- 100M radio applies this voltage for transmit operation in the 33 – 48 MHz band only. 3. The DC voltage detect circuitry internal to the amplifier would need to be defeated to allow an unauthorized frequency transmission. 4. Two external power amplifiers have been constructed for evaluation purposes in preparation for the submission of an application for grant of certification (more amplifiers have been constructed but not for the purpose of item #3). 5. This amplifier has not been constructed for operation in Amateur Radio Service. Regards, William H. Pertner Regulatory Manager
