Users Manual

Wearing the headphones 1 Be sure to use correct ear piece for left and right ear. 2 The medium-size silicone ear pieces are attached when purchased. You may not enjoy the bass sound fully if the ear pieces do not fit your ears. To enjoy better sound while reducing sound leakage, choose the other pair of ear pieces (three sizes of silicone ear pieces) and adjust their positions to fit them to your ears. 3 When wearing the headphones, adjust the position of the supports so that they fit your ears. • If the headphones do not fit your ears, remove them, rotate the supports, and then put the headphones back on again. Support ■About the ear pieces Two types of ear piece are provided: standard type ear pieces, and open type ear pieces that make it easier to hear external sounds. Use the most suitable ear pieces for your listening environment. Standard type ear pieces Open type ear pieces CAUTION • Although the open type ear pieces are designed so that external sounds can be heard well, make sure that you pay sufficient attention to your surroundings while using them. • Do not turn up the volume so high that you cannot hear sound around you. For replacing the ear pieces... • Attach the ear pieces firmly when replacing them; failure to do so may result in the ear pieces getting lodged in your ear canal when removed, thus becoming a possible health hazard. Notes on use • The ear pieces deteriorate with age even in normal use and maintenance. • When the ear pieces get dirty, detach the ear pieces and wash them in water-diluted detergent. After washing, dry the ear pieces and attach to the headphones. • When using the open type ear pieces, bass sounds will be weaker than when using the standard type. • If the headphones themselves have become dirty, wipe them with a damp cloth. The LED lights up in red, and charging starts. When charging is complete, the indicator goes out. The charging time is approx. 2.5 hours. • Use only the supplied USB cable to charge the System. • Operation is not possible while charging. The LED flashes blue once, and the System turns on. ■Turning off the System Press and hold MFB for about 3 seconds. The LED flashes red once, and the System turns off. Auto Power Save If no BLUETOOTH device is connected for about 5 minutes, the System automatically turns itself off. ■Connecting a BLUETOOTH device to the System 1 Turn the System off. 2 Press and hold MFB for 7 seconds or more. The System goes into pairing standby mode and the LED flashes alternately in blue and red. 3 Turn on the BLUETOOTH device and enable pairing. 4 Select “EBT5” from the list of devices. • During the pairing process, the other device may require input of a PIN code. In such a case, enter “0000” as the PIN code for the System. 5 Verify that the LED on the System flashes blue. Pairing is now complete.
