FCC ID: AZ489FT3820 Date: 1 st November 2007 Authorization & Evaluation Division Federal Communications Commission Laboratory 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Subject: Application for Extended Frequencies for Transmitter with FCC ID: AZ489FT3820 Dear Sir or Madam: Motorola Inc. herein requests grant for extended frequencies within the range of FCC Rule Part 90 for the 5 Watt VHF Portable 2-way radio identified by FCC ID: AZ489FT3820. The transmitter is designed to operate in the 146 to 174 MHz band and we request the grant for that contigious range. The transmitter will also be marketed to elements of the US Federal Government (NTIA), exported to Canada and other international markets. For the United States market, the radios will be programmed on authorized frequencies that are licensed by the FCC. This transmitter complies with CFR Title 47, Section 90.203, in that the operator cannot directly program the transmit frequencies using only the normally accessible external controls of the unit. TYPE X The label is a paper polyester film laminate with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing. The adhesive is a permanent type acrylic with minimum peel strength of 40 oz/ inch. The label is laser etched into the Urethane paint, exposing the Nickel plating on the Zamak casting substrate. Since no adhesive is required, the label is permanent and tamper- proof.
