81 CameraThe camera in your i 850 phone takes pictures. You can save these pictures in your phone and view them through the media center.You can send the pictures you take in Private calls, assign them to Contacts entries, or set them as your phone’s wallpaper. Accessing the Camera From the main menu, select Camera . -or- From the idle screen, press c . -or- On your keypad, press the number assigned to the Camera shortcut. -or- Access the camera from the media center. See “Accessing the Camera” on page 90. -or- Access the camera during a Private call. See “Starting a Call by Sending a Picture” on page 96. -or- If you set the camera as a power up application under Settings, then press p to power up your phone. Taking Pictures1 Access the camera. 2 If you want to adjust the zoom, picture quality, picture size, or a timer, set these options. See “Setting Picture Options”. 3 Aim the camera lens on the flip. Use the internal display as the viewfinder. 4 When the image you want to capture is in view, press c or press O or press A under Capture . 5 To save the picture, press c or press O or press A under Store . -or- To discard the picture without saving it, press A under Discard . -or- To choose another action, see “More Actions for Captured Pictures” on page 83. Setting Picture OptionsWhen you take a picture, you can set the zoom, picture quality, and picture size, and set a timer to delay capturing the picture.To set any of these options:1 Press m . 2 Select the option you want. 3 Select the value you want for that option.Tip: You can also set zoom by scrolling up and down and set picture size by scrolling left and right. 82 CameraIf you either discard the picture or save it by either pressing O or selecting Save from the context-sensitive menu, the only picture option that changes is the timer. The timer returns to its default: Off.If you choose any other action, all picture options return to their defaults. ZoomThe Zoom option lets you choose a closer view.The values are:• 1X — no change • 2X — twice as large • 4X — 4 times as large 1X is the default.Picture QualityThe Picture Quality option lets you choose the sharpness the picture will have after it is captured.The values are:• Normal — no change • Fine — higher resolution When you receive your phone, Normal is the default. You can choose a new default for this option. See “Customizing the Camera” on page 84. Pictures taken with this option set to Fine use more memory space. Picture SizeThe Picture Size option lets you choose the size the picture will have after it is captured.From smallest to largest, the values are: Small, Medium, Wallpaper, Large, and XLarge.If you plan to use the image as wallpaper, it is best to select the Wallpaper size.When you receive your phone, Medium is the default. You can choose a new default for this option. See “Customizing the Camera” on page 84.Larger pictures use more memory space.Self-TimerThe Self-Timer option lets you delay capturing the picture for the number of seconds you choose.If you use this option, the timer starts when you perform step 4 in “Taking Pictures” on page 81. The camera captures the picture after the amount of time you chose elapses.To turn off the timer before the picture is captured, press A under Cancel . The values are: Off, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds. 83 More Actions for Captured Pictures Off is the default. More Actions for Captured PicturesAfter you capture a picture as described in “Taking Pictures” on page 81, you can send it in a Private call, assign it to a Contacts entry, or set it as your phone’s wallpaper.You can also access the media center to view and perform actions on the pictures there.Choosing any of these options automatically saves the captured picture.Sending in Private CallsFor information on sending captured pictures in Private calls, see “Starting a Call by Sending a Picture” on page 96.Assigning to Contacts1 After you have captured a picture, press m . 2 Select Set As Caller ID . 3 To store the number as a new entry, select [New Contact] . -or- To store the number to an existing entry, select the entry. Gentlemen; Motorola Inc., 8000 West Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33322, herein submits its application for Certification of the transmitter with FCC ID: AZ489FT5844. This variable output power (0.088 to 700 milliwatt) transmitter is part of a handheld transceiver used in a SMR and EA SMR trunking system operating in the United States 806-821/851-866MHz and 896- 901/935-940 MHz frequency band. It also possesses a transmitter that operates in the ISM band (902 – 927 MHz). The two transmitters are configured so that only one transmitter can operate independent of each other and only one mode can operate at a time. The operation mode is selected via the user menu. Certification is sought for this transceiver, and performance data is provided for that purpose. The first transceiver is of the receive-first type described in International Telecommunications Union Recommendation ITU-R M.1221 entitled Technical And Operational Requirements For Cellular Multimode Mobile Radio Stations. It must first find, acquire and lock onto a control channel from a predefined set of control channel frequencies assigned to a companion Authorized base station (e.g. – FCC ID: ABZ89FC5794). Transmission is not possible until lock to a base station control channel has been achieved, then transmission is limited to digitally modulated service request bursts on the reverse control channel. Upon recognition of a proper request, the control channel base station transmitter will then assign the transceiver a traffic channel for transmission of digital voice or circuit-switched data from the set of frequencies for which the trunking system is licensed. Attached Exhibit 12.1 provides additional descriptive details. The second transceiver is frequency hopping spread spectrum operating in the unlicensed ISM (902-928 MHz) band. It uses an FSK (Frequency Shift Key) modulation, 50 kHz spacing up to 1 watt. The protocol is defined to have 10 interleaved hopsets of 50 frequencies each with 500 kHz separation between set members. All 10 hopsets span the entire ISM band. In the ISM transceiver mode, conversations are held only via the speakerphone; the earpiece is disabled. This will aid equipment authorization in foreign countries, which accept a United States FCC Grant for Equipment Authorization, yet not jeopardize United States public safety or cellular systems licensed to operate in the 821-825 MHz frequency band since no compatible base station may be authorized on those frequencies in the United States. It is also expected that this transceiver type will be marketed outside the United States and brought into the United States for itinerant “roaming” operation on compatible 806 - 821 MHz base stations located within the United States. Consequently, upon receipt of Authorization, only those units of this equipment type authorized for marketing in countries outside the United States will also bear a label with the specified FCC identifier. In accordance with 47 CFR 2.1093(c) this transmitter may be used in “covered” SMR service so it has been subjected to routine environmental evaluation for RF exposure and found to be compliant with the limits specified in 47 CFR 2.1093(d)(2). The subject transmitter complies with 47 CFR 90.203 of the rules in that the operator cannot directly program transmit frequencies using only the unit's normally accessible external controls. This transceiver can function as a Part 15.3(r) computer peripheral device when functioning as an RF modem when connected to a computer via a data cable (ref: Exhibit 12.1). A Declaration of Conformity in accordance with 47CFR 2.1077(a) is provided in Exhibit 8 as evidence of compliance with Part 15 requirements for these additional Class B digital device functionalities per 47CFR15.101(a). Compliance with Part 15 requirements for the Direct-Conversion (zero IF superheterodyne) receiver has been determined by verification in accordance with 47CFR15.1.

Each figure contains two measurement traces in addition to the two applicable limit lines (black traces), the higher being applicable to measurements utilizing a quasi-peak detector and the lower being applicable to measurements utilizing an average detector. The upper data trace (light blue) portrays the amplitude of the voltage measured during sweeping with a peak detector while the lower trace (light green) represents the amplitude of the voltage measured using an average detector. These detectors facilitated the measurement process. Measurements with a quasi-peak detector lie between these bounds.
