This radio device is NOT authorized for general population consumer use. This two-way radio uses electromagnetic energy in the radio frequency (RF) spectrum to provide communications between two or more users over a distance. It uses radio frequency (RF) energy or radio waves to send and receive calls. RF energy is one form of electromagnetic energy. Other forms include, but are not limited to, sunlight and x-rays. RF energy, however, should not be confused with these other forms of electromagnetic energy, which when used improperly, can cause biological damage. Very high levels of x-rays, for example, can damage tissues and genetic material. Experts in science, engineering, medicine, health, and industry work with organizations to develop standards for safe exposure to RF energy. These standards provide recommended levels of RF exposure for both workers and the general public. These recommended RF exposure levels include substantial margins of protection. All Motorola two-way radios are designed, manufactured, and tested to ensure they meet government-established RF exposure levels. In addition, manufacturers also recommend specific operating instructions to users of two-way radios. Exposure awareness can be facilitated by the use of a product label directing users to specific user awareness information. Your Motorola two-way radio has a RF Exposure Product Label. Also, your Motorola user manual, or separate safety booklet includes information and operating instructions required to control your RF exposure and to satisfy compliance requirements. Compliance with RF Exposure Standards Your Motorola two-way radio is designed and tested to comply with a number of national and International standards and guidelines (listed below) for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic energy. This radio complies with the IEEE (FCC) and ICNIRP exposure limits for occupational/controlled RF exposure environments at operating duty factors of up to 50% talk-50% listen and is approved for occupational use only. To transmit (talk), push the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. To receive calls, release the PTT button. The PTT button may reside on the radio itself or may be hosted on approved wired or wireless (for example, a Bluetooth enabled remote Push-to-Talk button) accessories. From 2.1033(c)(12), “chassis assembly” and "internal construction" generally means "exploded" view internal photos including all (major) parts and pieces of the final product; it is requested to also show antenna connections / cables / tracks and metal structures proximate to those. Response: Enclose is the addendum to Exhibit 9 (Exhibit 9A) to include the photos of the back side and front side of the chassis. 2) Form 731 lists rule parts 22, 74, 80; however unless we missed it we did not see the required compliance information and test data for 22, 74, 80 service rules. 2.915(a)(1) permits grant of an equipment application that demonstrates compliance of the equipment with the pertinent technical standards of the radio service rule(s) governing its operations. 2.911(b) requires equipment authorization applications to contain compliance information and test data per the radio service rules governing operation of the equipment, in addition to containing compliance information and test data per 2.1033. Please OMIT 22, 74, 80 from Form 731; alternatively please amend filing to provide compliance information and test data and with listing the associated EXPLICIT rule section and paragraph numbers for the intended and qualified 22, 74, 80 licensed station equipment operations. Response: The emission data for 22, 74, and 80 service rules are indicated in the Exhibit 6 LMR Test report that is currently on filed with FCC: - Part 22: page 30 and 31 - Part 74: page 27.
