These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate this equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. IMPORTANT NOTE: FCC Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 2 FEDERAL COMMUNICATION COMMISSION INTERFERENCE STATEMENT___2 SAFETY INFORMATION______________________________________________7 PREFACE_________________________________________________________9 CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCING THE SCRIBBLER__________________________10 1.1 Inventory Checklist______________________________________________________________10 1.2 Scribbler Features________________________________________________________________10 CHAPTER 2: A GUIDED TOUR_______________________________________13 2.1 The different models of Scribbler___________________________________________________13 2.2 Front View______________________________________________________________________13 2.2.1 Shortcut Keys__________________________________________________________________14 2.2.2 Indicator Lights________________________________________________________________14 2.3 Back View_____________________________________________________________________15 2.4 Top Panel View_________________________________________________________________15 2.6 Right-Side Panel View____________________________________________________________17 2.5 Bottom Panel View___________________________________________________________________18 CHAPTER 3: SHORTCUT & FUNCTION KEYS___________________________19 3.1 Using the Shortcut Keys on the Front Panel_________________________________________19 3.2 Using the Function Key__________________________________________________________20 3.2.1 Default Combinations___________________________________________________________20 3.2.2 Assigning a shortcut_____________________________________________________________20 CHAPTER 4: GETTING STARTED_____________________________________22 4.1 Connecting the AC Adaptor________________________________________________________22 3 4.2 Turning on the power_____________________________________________________________22 4.3 Turning off the power_____________________________________________________________23 4.4 The Battery_____________________________________________________________________25 4.4.1 How to Determining the remaining battery power_______________________________________25 4.4.2 How to Charge the Battery_________________________________________________________25 4.4.3 Approximate Charging Time______________________________________________________25 4.5 The Stylus_____________________________________________________________________26 4.5.1 How to Use the Stylus___________________________________________________________26 4.5.2 The “Right - Click” button________________________________________________________26 4.5.3 Calibrating the Screen for Stylus Accuracy__________________________________________27 4.5.4 Changing the Stylus Tips_________________________________________________________27 4.5.5 Joystick______________________________________________________________________30 4.6 Putting the Scribbler in Standby Mode______________________________________________ 30 4.7 The Screen_____________________________________________________________________31 4.7.1 Adjusting the Screen Brightness___________________________________________________31 4.7.2 Selecting Screen Orientation______________________________________________________32 4.8 Connecting Accessories___________________________________________________________ 33 4.8.1 Connecting an external USB Mouse________________________________________________33 4.8.2 Connecting an external USB Keyboard_____________________________________________33 4.8.3 Connecting a Printer and Setting it up______________________________________________33 4.8.4 Connecting the Modem_________________________________________________________34 4.8.5 Connecting to a Phone Line______________________________________________________34 4.8.6 Connecting to a network________________________________________________________34 4.8.7 Connecting to an external USB diskette drive_________________________________________34 CHAPTER 5: GETTING TO KNOW THE SCRIBBLER_____________________35 5.1 Creating User Accounts___________________________________________________________35 5.2 Setting up Passwords________________________________________________________________35 5.3 …

Operational Description

FCC ID: BJM-TABLETSC800 ADT No.911122A11 Operational Description The transmitter of the EUT (Tablet PC) is powered by 12VDC power adapter. The antenna type used in this product is Printed antenna with UFL connector. The other instruction, please have a look at the users manual. DSSS Information This device is Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, the data is mixed by pseudorandom code which is an orthogonal code. The mixed data is digital modulated by BPSK and QPSK technique depends on the data rates. The CCK coding is applied for increasing the data rate, and also the processing gain will be increased. The bit rates are 1,2,5.5,11Mbps, the symbol rates are 1,1,1.375,1.375Mbps, the chip rates are always 11Mbps. So, the Chip/symbol is 11,11,8 and 8 respectively. Although is higher bit rate, the processing gain is lower than 10, but the CCK coding used in higher bit rate will provide 2.2dB coding gain.
