American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 January 15, 2007 RE: FCC ID: BJM-TX3000_ATCB004415 Attention: Natasha Tai I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that the power measurements listed in the report show a resolution bandwidth of 1MHz but the device bandwidth is significantly greater. Generally, if the analyzer is not one of the newer FFT analyzers there is a need to add a resolution band width correction factor. The readings indicate that this was done in the analyzer. Please verify that the analyzer used does have the capacity of including the correction factor when a smaller res bandwidth than the occupied bandwidth of the device is used. If it is not this type analyzer, please show the calculation of power using the res bandwidth correction factors. 2. Please note that the conducted power listed in the EMC report is not the same as that in the SAR report. Please note that the differences between the EMC and SAR report should not be greater than 5% but even a difference of 1dB can be OK. The highest EMC conducted power level is 186mW while the highest SAR report only measures 114mW. This is 40% or more than a 2 dB difference. Please explain and please test with the SAR power level the same or higher than the EMC. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
Dear Dennis, The analyzer is a FFT analyzer. It has the capacity of including the correction factor when a smaller resolution bandwidth than the occupied bandwidth of the device is used. We verify that by comparing the channel power of the RMS detector with the average power of the power meter. The difference between two value is about 1dB. For the conducted power is wrong type, I have upload the revised report. Pls kindly check and if there's any comments, pls kindly let me know.
