Getting Started Attaching the Antenna Before using the radio, screw the antenna clockwise into the antenna connector. Charging the Battery Before using the battery for the first time, it must be charged. Follow the instruc- tions included with the Tait charger. When the battery is low, recharge or replace it as soon as possible. Avoid allowing a battery to fully discharge as this will shorten its service life. Attaching/Removing the Battery l Slide the battery into the back of the radio until it clicks into position. l To remove the battery, push up the catch on base of the battery and slide the battery out of the back of the radio.
