Operational Description

Transmitter 1.1 The transmitter is a narrow band Fm transmitter for 900Mhz ISM band. A crystal oscillator is modulated with a varactor diode to generate a 14 MHz reference signal. There is divider for phase locked loop. That is not used in this circuit. Fo= output Frequency = crystal frequency X 64 . Fc= Crystal frequency: Channel 1, 14.156203Mhz. Channel 2, 14.166667Mhz. 1.2 FM modulation TA-7137 is Amp with ALC ( automatic level control). Circuit and it is control modulation Vco and varactor diode. 1.3 Antenna Antenna is on PC board. Receiver 2.1Local oscillation. Receiving signal 14Mhz as reference phase locked loop . 2.2 Local frequency divider X 64 Channel 1 : ( 14.323390Mhz X 64) 916.69696Mhz. Channel 2 : ( 14.333781Mhz X 64) 917.36198Mhz. RF= Local Frequency (F1, 2) – Intermediate Frequency (IF). Channel 1 916.69696 MHz – 10.7Mhz = 905.997Mhz Channel 2 917.36198Mhz - 10.7Mhz= 906.662Mhz. 2.3 receiving type Superheterodyne receiver with Intermediate frequency control harmonic 2.4 RF amp. Amp is 2 phases and filter is 3 phases Antenna receiving signals ( PC board antenna) and go through Band Pass filter. Between phase 1 and phase 2 there is Dielectric band pass filter. 2.5 Antenna Antenna is fixed on PC board..

The UUT was transmit- ting a test signal during the testing. RADIATION INTERFERENCE: The test procedure used was ANSI STANDARD C63.4-1992 using a HEWLETT PACKARD spectrum analyzer with a prese- lector. The analyzer was calibrated in dB above a microvolt at the output of the antenna. The resolution bandwidth was 100KHz and the video bandwidth was 300KHz up to 1.0GHz and 1.0MHz with a video BW of 3.0MHz above 1.0GHz. FCC ID: CCT71599 TEST PROCEDURES CONTINUED FORMULA OF CONVERSION FACTORS: The Field Strength at 3m was estab- lished by adding the meter reading of the spectrum analyzer (which is set to read in units of dBuV) to the antenna correction factor sup- plied by the antenna manufacturer. The antenna correction factors are stated in terms of dB. The gain of the Preselector was accounted for in the Spectrum Analyzer Meter Reading. Example: Freq (MHz) METER READING + ACF = FS 33 20 dBuV + 10.36 dB = 30.36 dBuV/m @ 3m POWER LINE CONDUCTED INTERFERENCE: The procedure used was ANSI STAN- DARD C63.4-1992 using a 50uH LISN. Both lines were observed. The bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was 10kHz with an appro- priate sweep speed. The ambient temperature of the UUT was 74.3Β°F with a humidity of 69%. ANSI STANDARD C63.4-1992 10.1.7 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURES: The UUT was placed on a table 80 cm high and with dimensions of 1m by 1.5m. The UUT was placed in the center of the table (1.5m side). The table used for radiated measurements is capable of continuous rotation. When an emission was found, the table was rotated to produce the maximum signal strength. At this point, the antenna was raised and lowered from 1m to 4m. The antenna was placed in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The situation was similar for the conducted measurement except that the table did not rotate. The EUT was setup as described in ANSIC63.4-1992 with the EUT 40 cm from the vertical ground wall.
