EXHIBIT 1 CFS8DL5804E Functional Description. The 5804E is a battery powered portable transmitter and is part of a wireless alarm system. It is used in conjunction with a receiver (5881) to allow remote control of the alarm system. It is possible to "arm", "disarm", or raise a panic alarm in the system using the 5804E These messages are transmitted at 345Mhz +/-82Khz using on-off keyed AM modulation. The 5804E does not send a regular supervision or check-in message, it sends no other messages except those which are manually initiated control messages.
EXHIBIT 2 (1of2) CFS8DL5804E The 5804E is constructed on a single PCB. The PCB contains the message encoder chip U2, keypad switches, RF transmitter U1 with its output matching components and antenna. The transmitter is a phase locked loop and PA in one chip (U1) the Frequency Determining Element is Y1 (10.78125Mhz) The PLL produces an output at 32 X 10.78125Mhz = 345Mhz. The transmitter is On-off keyed (AM) by a control signal from the encoder chip (U2) all modulation is done Internally, L2,C9 are U1's PA's external tank circuit, C6,L1,C7, provide harmonic suppression, C13,blocks DC and works with C8,C10, to match the output to the PCB loop antenna.

Message packet is as follows: 2.3mS preamble 1.0ms header 62 bits at data '0' 4 bits at data '1' 3.9mS guard Total Message packet Time ( (23 + 10 + (66X3) )X 0.1 ) + 3.0 = 23.1 + 3.9 = 27.0 mS Total Message packet On Time (23X.1) + ( (66X2) X 0.1 ) = (155 X 0.1) = 15.5 mS Therefore the duty cycle for the peak to average power conversion is: 15.5 Duty Cycle = = 14.3 % (27.0 X 4)
