The 6150 provides the following: • Low-battery indications for the local wireless keys. • A nominal range of 200' for the RF transmitters (some transmitters have a shorter range). • Wireless key support for control panels that do not support RF themselves (such as 4110DL). U UU U L LL L The 5802, 5802MN, 5802MN2, 5804, 5804BD, 5804BDV, 5804E, 5804WATCH, 5805BDV, 5814, 5816TEMP, 5819, 5819SBRS, 5819SWHS, and 5850 transmitters are not intended for UL installations. Programming Features • Auto Enroll mode for programming wireless keys. • Provides a method for deleting a serial number and re- enrolling a new one in its place. • Provides default settings for the wireless key functions. Additional Features • Sends status signals (Armed, Ready, etc.) to bi-directional units such as 5804BDV, 5805BDV and 5828/5828V. • Operates the on-board relay in conjunction with the receiver (e.g., to trip a garage door opener). Note: This particular feature is not intended for UL installations. • Activates relays programmed into the control panel. • Provides an End User mode to enable/disable local wireless keys (e.g., if a user accidentally loses a wireless key). (Refer to the 6150RF User Guide for this procedure.) APPLICATION GUIDELINES Use the following guidelines when planning an installation: • Local wireless keys (wireless keys programmed directly into the 6150RF) may be used regardless of whether the RF receiver in the 6150RF is enabled or disabled. • If using bi-directional devices, be sure to enable the transmitter module in the 6150RF. • If transmitters are programmed into the control panel, be sure to enable the receiver. (Make sure you do not exceed the number of receivers supported by the control panel.) • If a local wireless key is programmed to arm/disarm or to trigger a relay on the control panel, a user code must be entered into the 6150RF. This user code must also be programmed into the control panel. • You must set the House ID only if you are using RF keypads and/or bi-directional devices; AND the House ID Source is the 6150RF (Local). 6150RF Application Guide The following guide outlines how to program the wireless keys, RF receiver, and the House ID in the 6150RF for your installation. * Two 6150RFs are needed for this application: one assigned to partition 1 and one assigned to partition 2. ** If using an RF keypad on only one partition, the 6150RF’s partition assignment must match the partition set in field 1*48. *** If set for Local on a partition control, the 6150RF’s partition assignment must match the one programmed in the BD device. Are you using 6150RF Programming Options System Control Panel RF keys beyond system’s capacity? RF receivers beyond system’s capacity? EXHIBIT 1 Functional Description. CFS8DL6150RFT Functional Description. The 6150RFT fixed transceiver is part of Ademco’s wireless 5800 alarm system. It is used in conjunction with portable transmitters (e.g. 5804) or portable transceivers (e.g. 5804BD). This allows remote control of the alarm system and provides remote indication that a control instruction has been enacted. These messages are transmitted at 345Mhz +/-82kHz using on-off keyed AM modulation. The 6150RFT does not send a regular supervision or check-in message, it transmits no other messages except those which are a confirmation of reception of manually initiated control messages which have been received from portable remote control transmitters and control and alarm messages.
EXHIBIT 2-1 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION CFS8DL6150RFT SECTION 2.1033(b) SECTION 2.1033(b) (2a). For Part 15 a statement describing how the device operates. The 6150RFT consists of a single chip transmitter (U4) under control of the microprocessor (U5) , the transmitters FDE is crystal (YL2; 10.78125 MHz X 32 = 345 MHz ) and it’s output is matched to 50 ohms ( by:L1, C19, L2, etc.). This output is fed via the transmit / receive switch (SW2) to the diversity antenna switch (CR25, CR27, etc.) which in turn feeds ANT1 and ANT2 via there respective matching circuits (C31,L7 etc, and C37,L6 etc.) that microprocessor (U5) also controls the T/R and antenna switches. During receive the same diversity antenna system and transmit / receive switch feeds filter (FL2) and the single chip receiver (U9) the receiver is a single conversion ‘superhet’ with a internal phase locked LO who’s FDE is crystal (YL5; 20.89375 MHz. X 16 = 334.3 MHz , i.e., 345 – 334.3 = 10.7 MHz IF) IF band pass is provided by the 10.7 MHz filter (FL1) the raw base-band is processed by the processing circuit (U7 , U8, etc.) and sent to microprocessor (U5) for final processing.
EXHIBIT 3-1 CFS8DL6150RFT Duty Cycle calculation Total number of bytes: 15 bytes Nominal base band frequency: 4Khz (250usec/bit) Total time = 15 x 250usec x 8(bits/byte) = 30 msec Because of Manchester encoding (50% duty cycle) On time is: 30msec x0.5 = 15 msec Therefore, TM2 message Duty Cycle is = 15msec/100msec= 15%
CFS8DL6150RFT Transmission Format Serialized data is Manchester Phase Encoded as shown below. Bit stream is sent out on a most significant bit first fashion. Message redundancy and RF Spatial diversity are implemented by transmitting six identical messages (sextet) on alternating antennae (three messages are transmitted on each antenna). EXHIBIT 5-1 CFS8DL6150RFT Report of Measurements. Measurements were made at Honeywells Measurement Facility at 160 Eileen Way , Syosset , NY 11791 , FCC Registration number : 90421. Measurements were made in accordance with the procedures and reporting requirements of ANSI C63.4-1992. The Test Set-Up (C63.4 section 10.1.3) is shown in the attached drawing. The sequence of testing (C63.4 section 10.1.7) for radiated emissions is as follows: A preliminary scan was conducted with the receiver antenna close to the EUT in order to identify the emission characteristics of the EUT (C63.4 section 8.3.1.1). The antenna and EUT were then placed at the proper separation with the EUT positioned on a non-conducting turntable. The EUT was rotated on the turntable to maximize the received signal strength, then the receiver antenna height was varied to further maximize the received reading. Thereafter, the device was again rotated to a peak output position and the antenna height was re-adjusted for maximum received signal. This procedure was re-iterated until there was no further increase in signal level. This procedure was performed with the EUT rotating in three orthogonal planes (C63.4 section 13.1.4.1) to generate a final maximum reading which is recorded on the radiated emissions result sheet. Similar measurements were made on the receiver to ensure compliance as an unintentional radiator. See Exhibit 6 for list of test equipment (C63.4 section 10.1.4). Note, Spectrum Analyzer resolution bandwidths set as follows; (Video Bandwidth set greater than RBW) - For occupied bandwidth measurements, RBW = 100kHz, (This is in accordance with the minimum RBW allowed by C63.4, which requires RBW greater than 5% of the FCC required occupied bandwidth spec of 0.25% of center frequency). - For radiated emissions below 1 GHz, the RBW = 100kHz. Detector function set to peak. - For radiated emissions above 1 GHz, the RBW = 1MHz. Detector function set to peak. OCCUPIED BANDWIDTH is shown on attached plot. RADIATED EMISSIONS are recorded on attached sheet.
