IN REGARDS TO ITEM C: We are applying for a Limited Modular Approval for the 573F-WIFI because the only host device which will house this module is our 573F-LYNXTOUCH2. The 573F-LYNXTOUCH2 supplies all necessary regulated voltages to the module to ensure compliance. IN REGARDS TO ITEM E: We are applying for a Limited Modular Approval for the 573F-WIFI because the only host device which will house this module is our 573F-LYNXTOUCH2. The 573F-LYNXTOUCH2 supplies all its digital control signals over a high speed SPI interface which cannot support a 10cm extension, additionally; the 573F-WIFI uses a connector unique to the 573F-LYNXTOUCH2. Modular Approval Checklist: Modular approval requirement Yes / No * * Please provide a detailed explanation if the answer is “No.” YES NO ( A ) . Johnson [mailto:[email protected] ] Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2011 4:39 PM To: Barbato, Greg (S&FS) Subject: Bandedge on CFS8DLWIFI Greg, This is an FYI...Kindly note that there is fundamental radiated data from Rhientech for Low/High channels. You also showed data for a delta on the bandedges. I have compared all the data and it does support compliance using a bandedge delta method. However to the typical reader, it is not obvious without looking at 2 different data sets, calculating the data, and then calculating the final bandedge delta level which would be compared to the 54 or 74 dBuV/m limits. While current comparison and further evaluation by the reader does show compliance, I would kindly ask that in the future this information is tabulated so that the average reader does not have to calculate everything out to determine if compliance is met. As an outside observer - remember the job of the data/reports is to SHOW compliance. The reader should normally not have to absorb and calculate the data to determine it was met. EXHIBIT 5-1 CFS8DLWIFI / 573F-WIFI Report of Measurements Measurements for the Intentional Radiator, and OBW were made in accordance with the procedures and reporting requirements at: Honeywell's OATS ( FCC No: 152762 & IC No:573F-1 ) which is located at: 2 Corporate Center Drive, Melville, NY 11747. Measurements were m ade in accordance with the procedure and reporting requirements of ANSI C63.4-2004. The Test Set-Up (C63.4 section 10.1.3) is shown in EXHIBIT 5-2; "Test Setup Photos". The sequence of testing (C63.4 section 10.1.7) for radiated emissions is as follows: A preliminary scan was conducted with the receiver antenna close to the EUT in order to identify the emission characteristics of the EUT (C63.4 section 8.3.1.1). The antenna and EUT were then placed at the proper separation ( 3 Meters) with the EUT positioned at a height of 80 cm on a non-conducting turntable. The EUT was rotated on the turntable to maximize the received signal strength, then the receiver antenna height was varied between one (1) and four (4) Meters to further maximize the received reading. Thereafter, the device was again rotated to a peak output position and the antenna height wa s re-adjusted for maximum received signal. This procedure was re-iterated until there was no further increase in signal level. This procedure was performed with the EUT rotating in three orthogonal planes (C63.4 section 13.1.4.1) to generate a final maximum reading which is recorded on the radiated emissions result sheet. Similar measurements were made on the receiver to ensure compliance as an unintentional radiator. Note, The Spectrum Analyzer resolution bandwidths set as follows; (Video Bandwidth is always set 3X greater than RBW) For occupied bandwidth measurements, RBW = 100KH z. Fo r radiated emissions below 1 GHz, the RBW = 100kHz. Detector function set to peak. For radiated emissions above 1 GHz, the RBW = 1MHz. Detector function set to peak. TX RF CONDUCTED is recorded in "EXHIBIT 5-3" OCCUPIED BANDWIDTH & BAND EDGES are recorded in "EXHIBIT 5-4". TX & RX UNINTENTIONAL RADIATED EMISSIONS are recorded in "EXHIBIT 5-5". LINE CONDUCTED EMISSIONS are recorded in "EXHIBIT 5-6". TEST EQUIPMENT ( per C63.4 section 10.1.4) is recorded in "EXHIBIT 6".
EXHIBIT 5-3A CONDUCTED PEAK POWER OUTPUT CFS8DLWIFI / 573F-WIFI Section 15.247(b) – Power output. This is an RF conducted test. Use a direct connection between the antenna port of the transmitter and the spectrum analyzer, through suitable attenuation. There are two options- either option can be used for DTS devices. Power Output Option 1 is a peak measurement. Power Output Option 1: Set the RBW greater than 6 dB bandwidth of the emission or use a peak power meter. Note: Since the 6 dB bandwidth of the emission is greater than 18 MHz, and the maximum Spectrum Analyzer RBW is 3 MHz, we will use a peak power meter.
