For programming, the program button must b e installed. -OPTIONAL: These features are to be connected only if desire d or agreed upon by the customer and the installing dealer i.e. Door Locks, Horn-Honk, Anti-G rind, etc. These features may also require additio nal parts and/or labor fees. D) Always leave the doors and windows cl osed and locked to protect against accidents and theft. DO NOT remote start the vehicle in a closed garage. Make sure that the garage door is open or there i s adequate ventilation. Failure to observe this rule could result in injury or death from poisonous Carbon Monoxide fumes. 3 USING THE REMOTE TRANSMITTER BASIC REMOTE OPERATION The transmitter supplied with this system is a sing le button 2-Way remote control. This is a multifunc tion remote control. It can operate power door locks (if equipped with power locks) and Remote Start the ve hicle. The 2-Way Remote Control will confirm operation wit h Beeps and LED flash for lock, unlock and remote sta rt. 1. Press Once = Lock or Unlock. a. Lock = 1 beep & 1 green LED flash. b. Unlock = 2 beeps & 2 green LED flashes. 2. Press 3 times within 2 seconds = Panic Mode – 30 s econd cycle (2 second beep and green LED). 3. Press and Hold 2 seconds = Remote Start or Remote Stop. a. Remote Start = 1 beep, red & green LED flash once. b. Engine Running = 4 beeps, red & green LED flash 4 times. c. Start Fail = 2 beeps & 2 red flashes. d. Engine Stop/Shut Down = 1 beep & 1 red LED flash. 2 - W ay Remote Red & Green LED 1 - W ay Remote Blue LED 4 STATUS LED VEHICLE STATUS LED : Located on Window Antenna The Status led will flash when the doors are locked . It will turn off when the doors are unlocked. The LED will remain solid when the system is in Valet Service mo de. The remote start function WILL NOT operate when in Valet Mode. REMOTE ENGINE CONTROL REMOTE ENGINE STARTING - SUCCESSFUL START: 1) Press the remote start button for at least 2 sec onds.
