Wi-Fi BacPac™ Brand: GoPro Model: AWIFI-001 GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR WI‐FI BACPAC HOW TO USE YOUR WI‐FI BACPAC The Wi‐Fi BacPac attaches to your HD HERO or later camera to enable long‐range video remote control via a Wi‐Fi Remote or a smartphone, tablet or computer running the GoPro App. BATTERY LEVEL AND CHARGING You should charge your Wi‐Fi BacPac for two hours before using it the first time. To charge the Wi‐Fi BacPac, connect it to a computer or USB power supply with the included USB cable. You can check the Wi‐Fi BacPac’s battery level on the Status Display. Tap [B icon] to illuminate the Status Display in low‐light conditions. PAIRING YOUR WI‐FI BACPAC FOR THE FIRST TIME Your Wi‐Fi BacPac can pair with one Wi‐Fi‐enabled device at a time, like a GoPro Wi‐Fi Remote, an Android or Apple smart device, or a home/office Wi‐Fi network. Devices running the GoPro App can use this connection to stream live video and control one ore more camera(s) remotely. To establish a new connection between the Wi‐Fi BacPac and a Wi‐Fi‐enabled device: 1. Make sure your Wi‐Fi BacPac is attached to the camera and powered ON. 2. Scroll through Camera Modes using [P icon] and select WIFI BACPAC SETTINGS using [S icon]. 3. From the Wi‐Fi Connection screen, press [S icon]. 4. Use [P ICON] to toggle between REMOTE or DEVICE, then press [S ICON]. 5. The Wi‐Fi Connection animation appears, indicating that the Wi‐Fi BacPac is searching for a connection. Press [S icon] at any time to cancel. While the Wi‐Fi BacPac is searching for a connection, follow the steps needed to direct your Wi‐Fi device to make a Wi‐Fi connection. Once both devices are actively seeking to connect, a connection will be established and the Wi‐Fi BacPac will return your camera to its default capture mode.
