The transmitter has been specifically designed for use with the SR 40 HARMONIX UHF receiver. The WX1 operates on a single fixed, quartz stabilized carrier frequency in the 710 MHz to 865 MHz UHF band and uses a dipole antenna integrated in the transmitter body. M: The signal delivered by the micro- phone is muted while power and the RF carrier frequency remain on. This prevents the receiver from respond- ing to interference from other trans- mitters. OFF:Power to the transmitter is off. 2Status LED:Indicates battery status. LED flashes momentarily upon switching ON and extinguishes: the battery is OK. LED lights constantly: the battery will be dead in about 60 minutes. 3Input Gain:This rotary pot sets the sensitivity (gain) of the transmitter’s audio section. 4Battery compartmentfor one 1.5-V AAA size battery (supplied). 5Carrier frequency label:Lists the carrier frequency band and the carri- er frequency in MHz of your transmit- ter. Depress the locating buttons (6) at each end of the WX1 module. The module will drop out easily. The battery compartment has no cover. 2. If there is a dead or defective battery inside the battery compartment, re- move the battery. 3. Insert the supplied battery or a new AAA battery (7) into the battery com- partment as shown in fig. 2, making sure to align the battery with the "+" and "-" polarity symbols. 4. Set the ON/MUTE/OFF switch (1) to ON. (Refer to fig. 1.) •The status LED (2) will flash momen- tarily. If the battery is in good condi- tion, the status LED (2) will extin- guish. •If the status LED (2) remains lit con- stantly the battery will be dead within about 60 minutes. Replace the bat- tery with a new one as soon as possi- ble. •If the status LED (2) fails to flash at all, the battery is dead or inserted the wrong way.
