Please explain this discrepancy. 2) The block diagram submitted is not sufficient, per section 2.1033(b)(5). Please submit an updated diagram. 3) The operational description submitted appears to be a standard product data sheet, which would not be eligible for confidentiality. Please revise the confidentiality letter. 4) The two condition statement required under section 15.19 of the FCC rules is listed under “information to Canadian users”. This statement should also be listed in the FCC section. 5) In the test report, it is indicated that the power output test for 802.11g mode was performed with the equipment operating at a data rate of 1 Mbps, but according to the operational description, the lowest data rate is 6 Mbps for 802.11g. Please explain. 6) Please indicate compliance with the voltage variation requirements of section 15.31 (e). The item(s) indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. MPE Calculations For RF Exposure Requirements Airborne Embedded Radio Module Model: WLRG-RA-DP101 Page 1 of 1 MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE FOR SUBPART C 2.4 GHz BAND Calculations Power density at the specific separation: S = PG/(4R 2 π) S = (142.89 * 3.162) / (4 * 20 2 * π) S = 0.08988637 mW/cm 2 where S = Maximum power density (mW/cm 2 ) P = Power input to the antenna (mW) – 21.55 dBm G = Numeric power gain of the antenna R = distance to the center of the radiation of the antenna (20 cm = limit for MPE) The maximum permissible exposure (MPE) for the general population is 1 mW/cm 2 . The power density at 20 cm does not exceed the 1 mW/cm 2 . Therefore, the exposure condition is compliant with FCC rules. The numeric gain (G) of the antenna with a gain specified in dB is determined by: G = Log -1 (dBi antenna gain/10) G = Log -1 (5 dBi/10) G = 3.162

HOW THE EUT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF 15.31 (e) FOR THE QUATECH, INC. AIRBORNE EMBEDDED RADIO MODULE MODEL: WLRG-RA-DP101 TEST DATE: 05/16/06 The fundamental was maximized on the Lab B test site using a normal test setup with the EUT’s AC Adapter connected directly to the AC public mains (115 Vac). Next, the Power Supply for the EUT was then connected to the Staco Energy Products Variable Auto Transformer Model: 3PN1010. The Variable Auto Transformer allows the Vac input to be varied. The EUT’s AC Adapter was then connected to the Staco Energy Products Variable Auto Transformer Model: 3PN1010. The AC input was then dropped to 85% (97.75 Vac) and raised to 115% (132.25 Vac). The actual AC input was measured using a calibrated Fluke Multimeter Model: 87, Serial Number: 956410240, Calibration Due Date: December 15, 2006. The fundamental was then verified again to see that the amplitude did not change. Test Result: The EUT does NOT change amplitude at the fundamental when the AC input voltage is varied between 85% and 115% of the input nominal rated supply voltage.
