Please read this user’s guide before using your new cassette adapter. Package Contents • Bluetooth cassette adapter • Mini-USB charging cable • User’s guide Features • Loads like a standard cassette tape • Plays music from your Bluetooth- enabled device through your home or vehicle cassette player • Provides 6-8 hours of playback time Charge Your Cassette Adapter Using the supplied charging cable, connect your cassette adapter’s mini USB charging port to your PC or a USB charger (not included) to charge the cassette adapter. • The LED lights red when charging, and turns off when fully charged. • Bluetooth is automatically deactivated when your cassette adapter is in charging status. • Charge your cassette adapter when the LED flashes red every 8 seconds. Pairing Bluetooth Devices 1. Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn on the cassette adapter. The LED flashes blue three times to indicate the power is on. When the LED flashes blue and red, your cassette adapter is searching for Bluetooth devices. 2. Activate your device’s Bluetooth function (refer to your device’s user’s guide). When your device locates RS1201526, select it. When paired, the LED flashes blue every 2 seconds. Complies with the European Union’s “Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive,” which protects the environment by restricting specific hazardous materials and products. Changing Bluetooth Devices You cassette adapter automatically remembers the most recently paired device. To change a device, you must first disconnect the first device. To disconnect the paired device, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. The cassette adapter starts searching for another Bluetooth-enabled device. n Note: You also may need to disconnect the cassette adapter using your device’s Bluetooth controls. Use Your Cassette Adapter 1. Insert the cassette adapter into your home or vehicle cassette player. 2. Turn on the audio source of your paired device. 3. Turn on your cassette player. 4. Adjust the volume of your paired device and cassette player as desired. 5. Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn off the cassette adapter. The LED lights red for 2 seconds to indicate the power is off. n Note: • Cassette player will mute playback when answering calls, and resume playback after call ends. • If you are using an auto-reverse cassette player, set it to play Side A. • Keep the cassette adapter’s magnetic head and the cassette player’s magnetic deck clean. Reset If the cassette adapter fails to operate properly, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds in charging mode. The LED flashes blue and red three times, your cassette adapter is reset. Analysis Report Report No.: 13090108HKG-001 The equipment under test (EUT) is a portable Bluetooth cassette player. The EUT equipped with a USB interface, magnetic head and contains a Bluetooth module. The Bluetooth module in the EUT complies with Bluetooth version 3.0 and 4.0 standards. It operates in 2.4GHz ISM frequency band (2400MHz – 2483.5MHz).The EUT is powered by 1 X 3.7V rechargeable battery (Li-Poly). The EUT can accept audio signal from Bluetooth enabled devices once paired. The audio signal is transferred and fed to typical cassette player via the magnetic head. The EUT is using non-adaptive frequency hopping for Bluetooth version 3.0 in the Bluetooth module as declared by the applicant. The USB interface of the EUT does not contain PC Connectivity which is for charging use only. Bluetooth Antenna Type: Internal, Integral (single antenna) Bluetooth version 3.0 2402MHz – 2480MHz, 79 channels, 1MHz spacing Bluetooth version 4.0: 2402MHz – 2480MHz, 39 channels, 2MHz spacing The Bluetooth module was tested in according with the following power output and in actual application the below limit shall not be exceeded. Operating Mode Nominal Radiated Field Strength Production Tolerance Antenna Gain Bluetooth v3.0 99.0dBμV/m at 3m ±2dB 0dBi Bluetooth v4.0 100.6dBμV/m at 3m ±2dB 0dBi According to the KDB 447498: Based on the Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance was 102.6BμV/m at 3m in frequency 2.402GHz at Bluetooth version 4.0 mode, thus; The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] = 5.459mW Conducted power = Radiated Power (EIRP) – Antenna Gain So; Conducted Power = 5.459mW. The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.53 mW Since the above conducted output power is well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
