APPLICANT: SUNCON TOYS INDUSTRY LTD FCC ID: GLE32-0200DP CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: When Unit A is turned on it transmits on 49.86MHz, under 15.235. The crystal controlled oscillator Q4 generates the RF signal on 49.86MHz. The RF signal is coupled to Q5 through C20. The micro- phone audio is amplified in Q7 and then fed into the audio traansformer T4 which modulates the supply voltage to Q5, the modulated stage. The output of Q5 is fed through the double tuned circuit T1 and then to L1 and then to the antenna. A small por- tion of the oscillator signal is coupled to the mixer Q1.The receive frequency 49.405MHz comes in the antenna to T1 and then is coupled through C2 to RF mixer Q1. From Q1 the signal is coupled through the tunded circuit T3 to the IF amplifier/detec- tor IC1. From IC1 the detected audio signal is amplified in Q2, which in turn drives the output transformer T5. T5 is connected to the speaker. Unit B transmitts on 49.405MHz, under 15.209. When Unit B is turned on it transmits on 49.405MHz, under 15.209. RADIATION INTERFERENCE: The test procedure used was ANSI STANDARD C63.4-1992 using a HEWLETT PACKARD spectrum analyzer with a prese- lector. The bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was 100 kHz with an appropriate sweep speed. The analyzer was calibrated in dB above a microvolt at the output of the antenna. The resolution bandwidth was 100KHz and the video bandwidth was 300KHz. The ambient temperature of the UUT was &tempr& with a humidity of &humr&. FORMULA OF CONVERSION FACTORS: The Field Strength at 3m was estab- lished by adding the meter reading of the spectrum analyzer (which is set to read in units of dBuV) to the antenna correction factor sup- plied by the antenna manufacturer. The antenna correction factors are stated in terms of dB. The gain of the Preselector was accounted for in the Spectrum Analyzer Meter Reading. Example: Freq (MHz) METER READING + ACF = FS 33 20 dBuV + 10.36 dB = 30.36 dBuV/m @ 3m APPLICANT: SUNCON TOYS INDUSTRY LTD FCC ID: GLE32-0200DP REPORT #: F:\CUS\S\SUNCON\SUN242H8.RPT PAGE #: 1 TEST PROCEDURES CONTINUED APPLICANT: SUNCON TOYS INDUSTRY LTD FCC ID: GLE32-0200DP ANSI STANDARD C63.4-1992 10.1.7 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURES: The unit under test was placed on a table 80 cm high and with dimensions of 1m by 1.5m. The table used for radiated measurements is capable of continuous rotation. When an emission was found, the table was rotated to produce the maximum signal strength. At this point, the antenna was raised and lowered from 1m to 4m. The antenna was placed in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The situation was similar for the conducted measurement except that the table did not rotate. The EUT was setup as described in ANSIC63.4-1992 with the EUT 40 cm from the vertical ground wall. This frequency is generated by oscillator Q1. The signal is coupled to the antenna by means of capacitor C1. This signal serves as a receiv- er local oscillator signal which hetrodynes an incoming 49.405 MHz to a 455kHz IF frequency. The IF amplifier, detector, and receiver audio amplifier stages are all incorporated in in- tregrated circuit - LC1600. When the ringer key is pressed the telephone sound IC -VM88 is activated and transmits. When Unit B is turned on it transmits on 49.405 MHz. This fre- quency again serves as both the transmitter carrier and the receiver local oscillator. This signal provides low side injec- tion to produce a 455 kHz IF from an 49.86 MHz signal. ANTENNA_AND_GROUND_CIRCUITRY This unit makes use of an 8" external antenna. The antenna is inductively coupled. The unit is powered from a 9.0 volt battery. No ground connection is provided.
