The Enterprise Mobility Company H9PLMX5452 REQUIREMENTS FOR A MODULAR APPROVAL Documentation most be provided to the FCC or TCB for each of these requirements listed. Documentation should be in the form of engineering drawings, schematics, photographs, and sample warning statements; these must accompany the submission. The submission cover letter must specifically request Modular approval under FCC DA 00-1407 Released: June 26, 2000. All of the antennas that will be approved with the product must be included in the submission, with special attention to the highest gain of each type of antenna. The modular approval exhibits are in addition to the normal 13 exhibits included in an FCC intentional radiator submission under Part 15. Exhibits required for Modular Approval 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. Confirmed - the shielding is incorporated into the custom IC for the BT radio. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs. Confirmed - all data inputs are buffered. See schematic 17-72903-01 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation Confirmed - the BT radio (fixed layout on the PCB) has a dedicated voltage regulator IC, U32, type LP3995. See schematic drawing: 17-72903-01 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204(c). The antenna must either be permanently attached or employ a “unique” antenna. Confirmed - the antenna is ‘permanently’ attached to the PCB. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration. Confirmed, see the FCC test report exhibit. 6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number. Confirmed, the FCC ID will be H9PLMX5452. See Label exhibit for details. 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. A copy of these instructions must be included in the application for equipment authorization Confirmed – This Module is for Symbol Integrations only. The program teams will be instructed to include the relevant regulatory information as detailed in the ‘H9PLMX5452 End product user guide information’ 8.
