RF Exposure Evaluation FCC ID: HHOWAWAJI-01 1.1. Limits The criteria listed in the following table shall be used to evaluate the environment impact of human exposure to radio frequency (RF) radiation as specified in 1.1307(b) Limits for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) f = frequency in MHz Friis transmission formula: Pd = (Pout*G)/(4*pi*r 2 ) Where Pd = power density in mW/cm 2 , Pout = output power to antenna in mW; G = gain of antenna in linear scale, Pi = 3.1416; R = distance between observation point and center of the radiator in cm Pd id the limit of MPE, 1 mW/cm 2 . If we know the maximum gain of the antenna and the total power input to the antenna, through the calculation, we will know the distance r where the MPE limit is reached. 1.2. BAND EDGE COMPLIANCE TEST 7.1. Limits All the lower and upper band-edges emissions appearing within 2310MHz to 2390MHz and 2483.5MHz to 2500MHz restricted frequency bands shall not exceed the limits shown in 15.209, all the other emissions outside operation frequency band 2400MHz to 2483.5MHz shall be at least 20dB below the fundamental emissions, or comply with 15.209 limits. 7.2. Test setup The EUT was placed on a turn table which was 0.8 m above the ground. The turn table can rotate 360 degrees to determine the position of the maximum emission level. The EUT was set 3 m away from the receiving antenna which was mounted on an antenna tower. The measuring antenna moved up and down to find out the maximum emission level. It moved from 1 m to 4 m for both horizontal and vertical polarizations. The bandwidth of the Spectrum’s VBW is set at 3MHz and RBW is set at 1MHz for peak emissions measurement above 1GHz and 1MHz RBW, 10Hz VBW for average emissions measure. For conduct test, a)Set instrument center frequency to the frequency of the emission to be measured (must be within 2 MHz of the authorized band edge). b) Set span to 2 MHz ,c) RBW = 100 kHz, d) VBW ≥ 3 x RBW. e) Detector = RMS f) Averaging type = power, g) Sweep time = auto, The emission was below the15.209 limit.
