Warning for units equipped with the WLAN radio option: The following section only applies when the PS2 IOOTterminal has FCC ID: I2821224121 on the the serial number label. (This label is on the underside of the terminal.) A Warning: Use of the PS2 7 OOT as a handheld ter mi- nal with FCC ID: I2821224121 meets the FCC require- ments for radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure. To minimize exposure the user should avoid holding the terminal, especially the scanner end, up to hislher head or torso. The terminal with this radio option has been SAR tested. The maximum SAR value measured was 0.78 W/kg averaged over 7 gram. A Warning: Use of the PS2 722 printer with the above PS2 700T terminal docked in the cradle meets the FCC requirements for radio frequency (RF) radiation expo- sure. To minimize exposuR the user should avoid lean- ing over the docked terminal, especially the scanner end. The PS2 722 with this terminal/radio option has been SAR tested. The maximum SAR value was 0.7 7 W/kg av- eraged over 7 gram. UMAN-PS2100 Series - Terminal Section OT-2

INTRODUCTION / SAR DEFINITION The FCC has adopted the guidelines for evaluating the environmental effects of radiofrequency radiation in ET Docket 93-62 on Aug. 6, 1996 to protect the public and workers from the potential hazards of RF emissions due to FCC-regulated portable devices.[1] The safety limits used for the environmental evaluation measurements are based on the criteria published by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for localized specific absorption rate (SAR) in IEEE/ANSI C95.1-1992 Standard for Safety Levels with Respect to Human Exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields, 3 kHz to 300 GHz. (c) 1992 by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., New York, New York 10017.[2] The measurement procedure described in IEEE/ANSI C95.3-1992 Recommended Practice for the Measurement of Potentially Hazardous Electromagnetic Fields - RF and Microwave[3] is used for guidance in measuring SAR due to the RF radiation exposure from the Equipment Under Test (EUT). These criteria for SAR evaluation are similar to those recommended by the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) in Biological Effects and Exposure Criteria for Radiofreque…

C95.1-1992 and has been tested in accordance with the measurement procedures specified in FCC/OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C (2001) and IEEE Std. 1528-200X (Draft 6.4, July 2001). I attest to the accuracy of data. All measurements reported herein were performed by me or were made under my supervision and are correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. I assume full responsibility for the completeness of these measurements and vouch for the qualifications of all persons taking them. Grant Conditions: Power output is conducted. This transmitter operates with a specific hand-held terminal/ printer and has been tested for SAR compliance for body-worn and hand-held configurations. SAR compliance for body-worn operating configurations is limited to the specific configurations tested for this filing. Users must be informed of the operating requirements for satisfying body-worn RF exposure compliance. The highest reported SAR value is 0.18 W/kg at 100% duty factor.
